Ichirou's POV

I was thinking of completely ditching school today after playing hooky during 1st and 2nd period when I smelled her again, sweet lemon popsicle on a hot beach day. My face split into a malicious smirk.

(Perfect, I can take a bit of payback from that mutt.)

(You're the mutt, your whole family are mutts.) Hono was being emotional. I ignored my wolf and went to find my b*tch of a mate.

I rounded a corner and didn't expect to see the back of a short, petite white-haired girl carrying an unconscious girl. What surprised me even more is that the unconscious girl was clearly bigger than the white-haired girl yet the white-haired girl seems to be carrying her quite easily. The biggest shocker of all though, that smell of sweet lemon popsicle seems to be coming from her.

(How? She has a similar build to my mate, Akira but that girl has white hair. Do I have two mates?) The girl was making her way to the infirmary. I followed behind her at a distance.

(That girl has majesty rolling of her tiny body in waves, even as she's carrying someone. Her momentum seems similar to Alphas, no, it seems stronger. That's weird. How come I never noticed someone like that in school?) I tried to observe the girl in front and now noticed the white tail and wolf ears.

(F*ck... another half-breed? Am I that unlucky? Why are all my mates half-breed? I do admit this one might be better than the other but still...) As I was thinking this, I saw the girl's hair and tail slowly change color from white to black and immediately I recognized that the girl in front is my mate, Akira.

(I knew mate was perfect. You're ignorant and a fool, trying to reject that woman.)

(Shut up, you dumb lovestruck wolf! Whatever her other bloodline is, it doesn't change the fact she's only half a wolf and that isn't good enough for the Chiyama clan.) I immediately turned around to go somewhere else, anywhere but here.

(No, you're dumb. You are spouting all these nonsense about being a whole wolf or half a wolf. That's meaningless to her. She's different. I can feel it. I can't believe I got paired with you as your wolf.)

(I can't believe you either. You're my wolf. Why can't you just agree with me?)

In the infirmary...

Akira's POV

I had calmed down for the most part when I got here. When I remember why I'm carrying Keiko though, I feel heat escaping through my eyes.

"Come in." A small but clear voice sounded from the room. They probably heard my footsteps. I kicked the door open. I saw the physician looking at me.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know your hands were occupied. I should've opened the door for you. Lay her down here." I quickly laid down Keiko on the bed she pointed out. I looked back at the door. I managed to unhinge the lower part of the door and it's only hanging on by the top hinge.

"Don't worry about the door. That happens more often than you think. Comes with the whole werewolf package. Anyway, what happened to her?" As I remembered what happened earlier, my blood boiled. I saw the doctor widen her eyes. I quickly tried to calm myself down as I answered her.

"We were on the obstacle course today. For some reason, they decided to throw the dodgeballs at full strength and one hit her on the head." I tried to get those words out while holding back my anger too.

"Was there anything else? Am I suppose to expect other patients coming in?" The question confused me that I completely forgot my anger.

"uhm... no? I mean I think she's the only one injured...?" The doctor sighed in relief. She probably thought I fought with the ones who injured Keiko. In all honesty, I wanted to but I realized she needed medical attention first. I needed to make sure she wasn't in any danger first. Revenge can come later. We were silent for a while. Then I saw the doctor furrow her brows.

"Is there something wrong, doc?"

"Well, I can tell she had an open wound because there's dried blood on her head but I can't see the wound. It looks like it healed on the way here so, there's nothing to be worried about anymore. We just have to wait for her to gain consciousness."

"If that's the case, doc. Why did you look so troubled?"

"Because of the amount of dried blood. It seems too much for a small wound that healed on its way here. It should be a bigger wound but even with a werewolf's faster regeneration, a wound that size shouldn't have healed completely before getting here. There's just no trace of the wound here and the amount of dried blood just doesn't make sense."

(Would that be because of you, Tera?)

(Probably. I mean you were basically chanting 'please be okay' 'you have to be okay' while my powers are still flowing through you.)

(And that healed her? Our powers healed her?)

(Probably not in the way you're thinking. We healed her, yes, but by influencing her regeneration rate. We made her heal her own wounds faster, if that makes sense.)

"She might have a faster regeneration than other wolves, doc. They do appear from time to time."

"I guess so... Anyway, I need you to fill out this form since you're already here. You are a freshman, right? This is for the infirmary to have your medical history." She gave me a form to be filled out.

"I will, thanks." I took the form from her.
