"That's good to hear but I'd still recommend you take a breather for today. Go home and rest up. I won't be prescribing any medicine for now so you can monitor the pain. If the pain starts to increase in intensity, immediately seek medical help, got it?"

"Got it, doc. Thanks."

"Alright, I'll leave you two be." I turned around to leave.

"Wait, doc." I turned back around to face them.

"Yes?"

"Can I go home too? It's my 16th birthday today and as a hybrid, there might be unexpected things that pop up during my first shift tonight. I just realized how unprepared I am. I also want to talk to my father before any of that happens."

"Alright, that's no problem. Swing by here tomorrow. I'll give you a doctor's note for your absence today."

"Really? Wow, thanks doc!" They both left the infirmary.

(Eh? I do?... Eh!?) Now's not the time for this. I need to tell the elders to prepare immediately. I quickly looked for the nurse working alongside me and told her to take charge for the rest of the day. I quickly left and made my way to the Shirogane clan compound.
