24 - ME AND PETE

At 7:00 am, we arrive at the Siargao bus terminal station and go to our accommodation. People are so kind and approachable.

"Babe, you've been quite busy in a while. Any problem?" Pete asked.

"I met Bryan in our house. Mom told me that she was in a relationship with Bryan. Did Bryan tell you about it?" I asked

"No, we've never talked after our deeds." Pete said.

"I don't really want to interrogate Mom about having a new relationship. But I just think about Bryan."

Pete looked at me and said: "Babe, your mom will be fine. Bryan is a good guy. Trust me."

Pete insists. He gave me a warm hug and kissed my forehead.

"Sorry, babe, let's enjoy this vacation." I said this to my loving husband. Thirty minutes later, we reached the accommodation, which was a unique native house with the design of rattan and situated in front of the beach. There are so many people and children swimming around; others are lying under the sun; and a few surfers are walking with their surf boards.

"Babe, this is a really nice place." Pete said he was amazed by the area. A man approached from behind and spoke to us.

"Ahh, ma'am, sir, please excuse me. My name is Janus Kaldez, and I'm an entertainer for a newly opened club nearby; I'd like to invite you there if you're available."

"That's nice, babe; shall we go there?" Pete inquired.

"Yes, we will go tomorrow."

"Wow, thank you so much, ma'am and Sir. We hope to see you both there. Thank you so much and see you tomorrow night!" said the young man.

"He was cute, actually," I told Pete.

"He's hot, for sure." "Oh, he looks good," Pete conceded, and I knew he liked that guy.

"I'm just kidding!" He persists, and I frown.

"As your wife, how can you assure me that your desire for men is gone?"

"Just look into my eyes, and you will know the truth." Pete said a flirty message and winked at me.

"Let's check our room." I asked Pete

"Yeah sure. let's go"

The spacious room easily accommodated both of us, providing ample space for relaxation and comfort. Our private ensuite bathroom boasted a range of amenities, ensuring our convenience and luxury during our stay. A telephone sat neatly on the table positioned behind our cozy bed, offering easy communication and accessibility. Additionally, a detailed map of the entire island and a comprehensive list of delectable menus were thoughtfully provided for our convenience and enjoyment. With our bucket list fully checked off, I couldn't help but anticipate the wonderful experiences and unforgettable moments that awaited us during our time together. This trip promised to be filled with excitement, relaxation, and cherished memories that we would treasure for years to come.

As I unzipped the suitcase, my hands eagerly searched for the soft pouch, feeling the urgency in Pete's movements beside me. The excitement in the air was palpable as we embarked on this adventure together. As our clothes started to crease, she pushed them out of the way to search through the mesh compartments. Despite rummaging through the pockets, I couldn't locate the pouch; our socks, bras, and panties were all present, but everything else seemed to have vanished. Feeling defeated, I slumped down on the bed and buried my face in his embrace.

I am a very different woman today than when Richard and I fell in love all those years ago. Everything about me has transformed. I couldn't believe someone like Pete was so interested in me. Our first meet, when he drove me home, when he took off his jacket, I caught a citrus scent that I'd forever associate with him. As we began our descent, he asked for my phone number. While I jotted it down, he reached out to stroke the length of my hair. A shiver ran down my spine. The gesture felt as intimate as a kiss.
