The pups all woke up early, not that they had slept very much through the night. They woke up in good moods, in hopes that Theodore would be awake and ready to come to their second day of classes. Charlie had to burst their little bubble by telling them that Theodore wasn't awake yet, and that they still had to go to classes without him. To prevent a meltdown from them, he compromised that they could each take a turn, skipping one class to sit with Theodore, Wesley immediately volunteering to be first.
Sam, Holden and Gabriel reluctantly went to their first class, in grumpy moods, while Charlie led Wesley to Theodore, where Sean was waiting. He had a free morning and offered to stay so that Jaxon could still teach his classes. Reaching the waiting room, Charlie knelt down in front of his little brother. "Wes, I'm sorry for overreacting yesterday, you can hold his hand if you want, just don't touch any of the machines that are connected to him, like the needle in his arm, it's just giving him fluids and keeping him hydrated while he's sleeping." Charlie explained to Wesley who nodded, and quietly followed his brother into the room. "Baby pup! How'd you sleep last night?" Sean said, being his loud charming self. "You're being too loud, he's sleeping." Wesley said quietly frowning, ignoring Sean's question. Charlie and Sam shared a look, before Charlie let Wesley know that he'd be leaving. He made sure his brother knew that if he needed him, Sean would get him.
"And now that the big bad brother is gone, and me being the most awesome person you'll ever meet, I'm gonna help you up here so you can lay with him." Sean said, finally earning the interest of the pup. "Really! I-I won't hurt him right?" Wesley said both excited and shocked that Sean was going to let him do this. "As long as you don't roll over him or kick him or anything like that, he'll be fine." Sean said putting the bed rail down so Wesley could get on. Once he was situated, Sean put the railing back up and went to sit in the chair beside the bed.
"Hi Teddy." Wesley whispered to his best friend. "I brought Donald for you so you don't get lonely and sad." He continued. "Char let me skip class this morning so I could stay with you." He finished before settling into silence, fiddling with his Mickey Mouse. "Can you hear me? I hope you can. The headmaster had to take our flowers, so when you wake up we'll have to pick new ones. I think Gabriel was really sad because we didn't get to press them like his mom does. I think he misses her, but he said she's travelling to assist in other covens, so she isn't able to come like your mom and dad. Maybe Jax and Char could take us to the shops and we could buy some plants for our rooms? Then we wouldn't have to wait for the seeds to grow right? And we could press our own flowers! Our whole common area could be like a huge indoor garden, it'd be so cool! You know what Sam would say? He'd say that Holden should have a cactus because he's prickly." Wesley rambled on, taking small breaks in between as if waiting for a response from a sleeping Theodore. Sean just listened to him talk, playing on his phone to make it seem like he wasn't eavesdropping. When first class was over, Charlie brought a fidgeting Sam over and took Wesley to his class.
"Hi Theo, look I brought Goofy so that Donald would have a friend to play with while I hangout with you. Guess what? Jason is here! Did he come see you yet? He doesn't like hospitals, remember when Jax made him bring us to get our shots and he almost fainted at the sight of the needle? He'd probably be the one sleeping here if he came in to see you since you have an IV drip in your arm. Char says it's not yucky like my dads IV drips, so it shouldn't make you feel sick. He says it's just like water since you're sleeping and can't drink any." Sam said telling Theodore every and anything he could think of. "Kates in our English class now, apparently she had problems with her other one, so now we have to suffer through her allll morning!" He complained. "I hope she has problems in our class too and has to move. I hope Wes, Gabe or Holden find out what she did to get kicked out of her first one, I bet it's a funny story." Sam went on about all the things Kate said during class, forgetting that Sean was even in the room. Sean was silently fuming at how awful his little sister was being. He was informed of the class change, but when he asked her why, she said there was too many students in the class and they needed volunteers to switch classes, and he just believed her word for it since he hadn't heard otherwise. Now though, he'd have to talk to the headmaster to find out what happened.
