(No one's POV)

They were all lifted into the air, the gold claw on their chests glowing.

"No!" King Covy roared in anger.

"What's going on!" Ruby shouted. "I'm not sure. But I think Cain has something to do with it," Ambrose replied.

Kion was the first to experience what would happen. The gold engulfed him. He let out a small roar, and his veins glowed purple.

Soon, the rest of them were transformed, all of their veins glowing purple. "I'm generally confused," Rani admitted.

"You're not alone on that," Kion chuckled. They smiled warmly at each other.

Naoto pointed to the dome, "It's Covy! He's getting away!" They all growled and Miuar roared. As he did, a bright light appeared from his roar. Miuar covered his muzzle with his paw, shocked.

Belle looked around, and knew what was happening, "Everyone! Roar at Covy!"

They all floated side by side, and roared at the king. The light took over the kingdom, blinding everyone.

When the light dissapeared, the blood lake was gone, and Covy was no where to be seen, except some black lion fur.

The old tributes floated down to the ground. Milly walked forward and sniffed the fur. As she did so, Ruby looked at a bush, and walked toward it. She gasped and everyone turned to her.

Ruby dug her muzzle into the bush, and pulled out a little cub. Probably almost a few months old.

"Aww who are you little cutie," Ellie smiled. He tried to speak, but he was shaking too much.

Ruby nuzzled the little cub, and he purred, "My name's Covy!" They all glanced at each other.

"You said 'Covy' right?" Stomega asked. He nodded.

"Can you explain what happened?" Belle asked. "Yes I can!" Covy jumped up. "So, I was in the woods, playing. There was the black shadow. A literal one. And it just attacked me and went into my heart."

"You think the black figure turned him evil?" Damo whispered. Mamba nodded.

"Oh. I'm so sorry about that Covy," Ruby licked behind his ears. "No stop! I don't need a bath!" Covy tried pushing Ruby's muzzle away.

"Yes you do," Ruby chuckled. Covy sighed in defeat.

Ambrose walked over to Ruby and laid beside her, "You're really good with cubs." "I guess it's just instinct," Ruby replied. She continued cleaning Covy.

Ambrose lowered his voice to a whisper, "Have you thought about having our own?" Ruby looked at him in shock, but smiled, "It has crossed my mind."

"One day?" Ambrose asked. Ruby nodded, "One day."

Sasha overheard their conversation and turned to Naoto. His eyes widened and he backed up a little, "Err..." He chuckled nervously.

"No pressure. I can wait," Sasha smiled and nuzzled him. Naoto sighed in relief.

Mrembo stood next to Slayer. "That's cute," She chuckled. "Eh. I'm not into romance," Slayer shrugged.

Mrembo chuckled, "I figured."

Saka walked up to Damo and whispered in his ear, "Guess who I'm going to see." Damo's eyes widened, "No! Vati is mine! Why can't you see that!"

"We'll see." Saka ran off, Damo right on his tail. As they ran, the families of the tributes dashed to them.

Saka ran into a den, "Vati!" A lioness appeared from the shadows, "Saka?" She stepped into the light.

Saka nuzzled her and Damo ran in, "Vati!"

Vati smiled at him, "Hi Damo." "I've missed you," He nuzzled her as well. "I've missed you too," She smiled. Saka growled, "I missed you more!" He shoved Damo away.

"Stop fighting!" Vati growled. They were both shocked at her tone. "I won't be fought over. I'll just leave," Vati walked away. Saka rolled his eye's. "Vati wait!" Damo ran after her.

Vati glared at him. "Im sorry, that was selfish of me," He put his head down and Vati smiled slightly, "You're forgiven."

Saka growled as he watched them.

The families of the tributes surrounded them. Morgan looked at Stomega, "I don't think we'll be getting sleep for a while." Stomega chuckled, "I agree."
