Carmen decided on waiting on the boat as John B dropped all the tanks off, no matter how much he begged her to help. After he had dropped the bombshell about his dads compass, he's been talking about all these theory's on why it got to him.

And honestly Carmen needed a break from him.

John B was like her brother, but she couldn't bring herself to help fuel his assumptions of his dad being alive. The whole thing just wasn't plausible.

"Later." She heard the boy say as he came out and Carmen wondered who the hell he was talking too.

"I'm just saying, I don't understand why you don't at least try with Kiara."

Carmen rolled her eyes as once again JJ continued to try and set something up between John B and Kie. She didn't understand why, since she couldn't see any romantic attraction between the both, but apparently that was only her.

The trio were on their way to Lana Grubbs house to find out why John B's dads compass was on her husbands boat. Carmen felt like maybe it was all too soon since her husband died not that long ago, but John B had ignored her complaints.

"She's like, "Oh, John B.", JJ mimicked the girl. "Is that what she does?" John B joked, shaking his head at what the boy was saying.

"She's sketching about you diving, then she kissed you." He still continued, eyebrows raised up into his hairline.

"She kissed me on the cheek. It's not like we were makin' out." John B denied as he focused on the road, his mind most likely preoccupied with his dad and the compass.

"Facts John B, so shut up JJ man, leave the two of them alone." Carmen cut in, sick of the whole conversation. She felt like her stomach was turning at the thought of JJ seeing something in the two.

"Don't pretend you don't notice. I see it in your eyes. You're like, "I kinda like that, and you start blushing." JJ ignored the two, words appointed to Carmen when he said the first sentence.

"I blush?"

"Yeah."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

Carmen kind of wished Pope was here, but Heyward was pissed about him ditching the other day that he now had extra work to do. She felt for him really.

"I'm sure she would just love to talk to us. It's not like her husband just drowned or anything." Carmen heard JJ mutter as they got closer to the house.

"Know what this house looks like? Whoever lives here smokes too much weed." JJ began as he climbed out of the Twinkie, Carmen not far behind him. Just before anyone could respond, glass smashing and shouting came from the beaten up house.

"Maybe we should come back. It's a little too soon." JJ muttered as he grabbed John B's shoulder, Carmen nodding her head, completely agreeing with the boy.

"No, no, shut up. Shut up, JJ." John B hissed as they creeped towards the side of the house, ducking when they were by a window. Carmen had a bad feeling about this.

"John B! Let's go!" She whispered to the boy who ignored her, causing both her and JJ to look at each other with panicked looks.

They were all silent as they heard Lana's screams and cries and the men swearing and slamming things. JJ's constant flinching caught Carmen's attention, laying a hand on his arm, hoping to bring him some comfort.
