Potions (again)

The first years Gryffindors and Slytherins had just had class with Professor (or Coach) RB and now they had potions with Professor BR, her husband. They were hoping that he would teach much better than Snape and the slytherins were hoping that their new head of house would favour them just as Snape had.

The door opened up and the students entered quitely and sat in their usual places (Gryffindors at the back and Slytherins plus the four Blacks at the front.

"Welcome everyone. Before we start todays lesson, I want to set some rules that I expect everyone to follow, no matter who you are. I'm going to write them on the board and I want you all to write them in the notebooks that I've left on your desks."

Regalus had put one notebook for each student so they could write down notes, recepies, ingredients, facts or anything else that their teacher told them. It was much better than lose pieces of parchement everywhere.

And he wrote the set of rules on the interactive board that he had instaled last night.

Rules for Professor BR's potion lessons:
1) No speaking without the professor saying so
2) Do not touch anything without permission
3) No making fun of anyone for any reason
4) You must call the professor either 'sir' or 'Professor BR'
5) Not spoiling others potions/work
6) Being in time
7) Completing homework
8) If you need the professor's attention, raise your hand
9)
Not entering the classroom without the professor's permission
10) Helping those who need it
11) No matter what always follow the professor's instructions

As everyone wrote them down (in Hadrian's chase his AI made screenshots) Regalus started to explain these rules with more detail.

"Rule number one: No speaking without the professor, me, saying so. I don't want everyone to be talking all the time or shouting out, this is a potions lesson, not a Quidditch match. If I say silence, then everyone is silent. Rule number two: Do not touch anything without permission. I don't want any of you to start touching my equipment and ingredients to then break them or lose them. It could mean me losing important research and important information. Rule number three: No making fun of anyone for any reason. I don't want to see what happened in the first lesson that you had with Snape. Mr Longbottom did a step wrong making his potion explode on him. Mr Malfoy then procceeded to make fun of him, even when Mr Longbottom had to be escorted to the Hospital Wing. I will be taking none of that."

Everyone was scribbling furiously. Except Weasley, Potter, Malfoy and his cronies. Hadrian was an exception.

"Rule number four: You must call the professor either 'sir' or 'Professor BR'. I don't want you calling me anything else, I'm your Professor and you have to show me respect. Rule number five: Not spoiling others potions and work. If I even hear the mention of doing such act, I can reasure you that your report card with include a failed potions exam, many house points removed and several detentions. Rule number six: Being in time. Punctuality is essential unless you have a note from a staff member saying why you're late, if not, point will be removed and detentions given out. Rule seven: Completing homework. Same as being in time, you don't have a proper reason then face the concequences. Rule eight: If you need the professor's attention, raise your hand. Similar as the first one, I want this to be a relaxing place where you can put as much focus and effort as you can. If you need me you must raise your hand and wait silently and patiently for me to arrive to your work space."

Regalus had realised that certain people wasn't writing what was on the board. He had a great plan to embarass them, he wasn't a Slytherin for nothing.

"Rule nine: Not entering the classroom without the professor's permission. I might have left some dangerous ingredients or equipment from previous lessons or from my own experiments. Do not enter without my permission, it's for your own safety. Rule ten: Helping those who need it. If you have finished and you see someone who is struggling, it is your esponsability as a fellow classmate to help them out. Rule eleven: No matter what always follow the professor's instructions. If you do not do such thing, you will face the removal of house points and probably a detention too."

Everyone had finished or were finishing writing by now. He took a gulp of his tea (once British, always British) and smirked a bit.

"Miss Potter, Mr Weasley, Mr Malfoy, Mr Crabble, Mr Goyle and Miss Parkinson please come to the front." Such students went to the front, puffing their chests out or smirking to the rest of the students, probably thinking that they were supperior. "While I was explain my rules in more detail, I noticed that these six students had already broken one of my rules. I had hoped that atleast my snakes would have lasted a little longer, having a brother in Gryffindor made me know what to expect from the lions, but from my own snakes? I was expecting better." The Black were now smirking, not afrain of showing so, "They have broken rule number eleven. Who can remind me of such rule?"

Neville raised his hand. "No matter what always follow the professor's instructions," he said nervously once Regalus nodded his head at him in aproval.

"As Mr Longbottom has said, you have to follow my instructions no matter what. Your classmates have broken this rule. They broke this rule by not writing the rules down, quite ironic right? I also remember saying that those who broke such rule would have points removed a maybe a detention. I will use this occasion as a warning. I will only be taking five points from each. How much in total Hades?"

"Ten from Gryffindor and twenty from Slytherin."

"Ah right."

For the rest of the class they had repeated the potion that they had done with Snape. Neville hadn't made anything explode and had actualy been successful, everyone had been so. Those six that had had points removed had lowered their ego's slightly, making the other students happy with their new teacher.

First of all, WOW! I'm so surprised! Two chapters in one day AND this book has over 2.5K reads! Thx so much! A special thanks to those who leave those lovely comments, I really appreciate them. Even if I don't reply to all of them, I still read and apreciate them!

Second thing. I need requests for what you want me to write about next. Do you want me to put any of them in the Quidditch team? What do you want me to do for Halloween?

Love you all!
