I was with Nathan working in the office again and he was selecting a tie and the he puts it on. "It'll work. We'll have the fundraiser here, not the ballroom. Makes me look fiscally responsible." I cchuckle dryly  "Yeah it so does Petrelli" I looked behind Nathan and I see Peter walking towards us. "Hey Peter." I say, he smiles at me and I pick up the ties "Pete, just the man I want to see." Peter is stands next to me. "I need to talk to you. Both of you" I hold up the two ties next to Nathan's face "What do you think? Red or blue?" I ask, ignoring what he just said. "I don't know. Blue?" I look at the two ties with Nathan "I'm gonna go red. The president wears red." He hands one tie to me and tosses the other tie aside. He puts his hand on Peter's shoulder and we start walking. "So you gonna come tonight? Gonna break out the suit, have a couple of drinks?"

"Yeah." Peter says, not very interested in the conversation"Rebuff the advances of my cute interns? Emily." Nathan says as he pats his brothers back. "Yeah, I'm gonna be there. But -" Emily passes me the files so i can give to Nathan and he start to sign "Listen, I tried it again." He says looking at us "Tried what?" I ask "What do you mean what? What do you think that I mean? I —I tried to fly." He hands the file folder back to me and I give them to Emily with a smile. He turns and walks quickly across the office me watching up with peter "Would you keep your voice down?" Nathan says whispering to his brother  "You were there. Last night I could fly. This morning, nothing. I nearly broke my neck trying." I laughed in my head "You shouldn't really do that without someone there Peter. You can get really hurt" I saw as I roll up the tie I still had in my hands. "Well, it would have solved one of our problems." I hit Nathan's shoulder.  "Shut it Nathan. What if you where in peter situation. He actually wants to find out what's going on" I say as we start to walk again

"Yeah. So I went to the library to see if I could find anything on human flight and i found something for you too Sage" He takes out a blue hard cover book with the title of Activating Evolution. "I came across this amazing book. Listen to this." I give Nathan another clipboard for him to sign and then hand it to someone else and peter begins to read. " Genes determine obesity, blood pressure. Out of the 30 billion possibilities, one might contain the potential for human flight." He reads  "This guy knows what's going on. Chandra Suresh. He's a genetics professor in India. I called. They said that he quit six months ago. They think he's here in New York. We gotta find this guy."

"We should, he can might be able to help us. I need to know whats going on" I say looking at the brothers. "We've got a more immediate problem here."I look at Nathan "What?" Peter and I say in sync. "It's this woman reporter. She's poking around into why you jumped off the roof." I raise a brow "How come i didn't know about this?" I ask but they ignore me "Look, Nathan, we flew. Aren't you curious how this happened? Peter says to his brother "Yeah, I mean, I want answers, just like everyone else. I mean, just like you, okay? But right now, today, I'm trying to find a way to put a spin on this so it doesn't look like crazy runs in our family."

" I need to figure out why this is happening to me. To us." I say to them "Responsibilities, Pete, Sage, okay? I've got an election to win and a family to feed, okay?" Nathan turns and walks away. Peter and i follow. "You are so — What do you want to tell that reporter?" He says changing his first subject "I know one thing we can't tell her, the truth." I stop in my tracks and get a hold of peters shoulder. "I have to go. I'm going to my dads" I tell him with a smile "I guess i'll meet you there. i have to go do some stuff" I nod "Okay" I kiss his cheek and i walk out of the building.

-Time skip to Sage's father's building-

After checking on my dad I wake towards the exit but before I was able to, I accidentally bumped into someone. Before saying sorry, I looked up from the floor and it was Peter  "Sage" He says  "Oh, hey. I just went to check on my dad. Where are you going? Aren't you supposed to be on your shift?" I as with curiosity. "I was just filling in my replacement, and going saying bye to your dad." I cross my arms "What?" I ask, not believing what he was saying "Listen ..." He pulls me to the side. "No." I say before he says anything "I'm quitting."I sigh and I look at him "Why?" I ask "I called the agency and told them this morning." He says ignoring my question "But my dad-" I say but he cuts me off "Caroline's gonna take really great care —" Now i cut him off this time "But she's not you." I state "This is not where I'm supposed to be. It's not what I'm supposed to do." I sigh once again "Is this because you for power thing? The ability to fly? Because if it is, peter i understand that you want to figure this out. I get it." I say "Thank you"

He hugs me and he heads towards the elevator as I go out the doors. 

I walk to my apartment and I start to get ready for the "Party" Nathan is having. I got dressed and i went outside to get a taxi. 

As I walked in the walls where filled with posters that read; Vote Nathan Petrelli. I go stand to a table waiting for whoever will stand next to me. Peter walk up to me with a smile on his face and raises his glass  "To destiny" He says, I smile "May we recognize it when we see it" he continues.  "To love. May we stay away from it when it's no good for us."I say as I look at him. Our glasses clink "Remember when you where telling me that taking care of my dad was't the thing you were supposed to do?"I say as I put the glass down "Yeah" he answers as he takes another sip of the champaign. "Well, I agree with you. Ever since you have recognized what you can do.There's just something different. It's like a look in your eye. A confidence." I say with a small smile. "There's something I should tell you. He got quiet but spoke up again "Something, uh ... I didn't think was right to say when I still worked for your father. Something I wouldn't have even said to you two days ago. I've been in love with you since the minute you came threw your fathers doors and I recognized your face."

He's in love with me? I- I don't know what to say. Nathan cuts my taught when he talks over the speakers "Excuse me.Every one excuse me." He pauses "I'd like to apologize about the rain. If you elect me, I promise I'll try and do something about it." The audience laughs. Peter and I barely smile. Nathan continues with his announcement. "I'd like to welcome you all here, on behalf of my family, my entire campaign staff. I'm sure that you know my brave wife would be here by my side, were she able. The life-altering event of my father's death is really what prompted me to run for Congress. My father hid a deep depression — an illness, really — up until the day he died. His loving wife, his attentive children, his loyal friends — we all knew about it, and yet he suffered alone. As many of you might have read, my brother Peter had an accident. But what I have kept from the press thus far is that Peter barely survived a suicide attempt." He looks out at Peter. Angela turns around and looks at Peter. The starts crowd murmurs. Peter doesn't move. Nathan continues. "My first instinct was to keep his illness hidden. But no one should suffer alone. Because we're all connected somehow." Peter starts to walk away "Peter" I say softly and try to catch his attention  "Everyone in this room. You, me and everyone in this city. We need to look out for each other. Peter leaves and I try to go after him but I couldn't find him. I try look for Peter in the rain. I find him trying to hail a taxi and I put my umbrella over him and he turns around.

"You're bleeding" I look at him with worry "I'm fine" he says in a dry tone "Im sorry, I'm just worried" I say. Peter looks at me, in a slight moment he starts to lean in he kisses me, and I do nothing to stop him so I kiss back.
