D1G: The Beginning

Chapter 1

Hi, I'm Jaedan. I'm a proud member of the D1G squad. Everyone in the squad has a nickname. EVERYONE. Its usually an abbreviated version of their name. Mine is Jae. Well, let's get to this story.

Monday January 4, 2016
"Welcome back to Flowers High School class" Mr. Baking said.
Everyone was pouring into the classroom but I wasn't really noticing. I was too busy talking to my best friend Nathaniel (Nate). He was my real live "ride or die". After 5 minutes of everyone getting settled back into learning mode, Mr. Baking walked into the front of the classroom.
"How was everyone's winter break?" He asked.
"Good" we all said in unison.
"Would anyone like to share what they did?" He asked.
For a minute, it was silent. But then Tumee got up.
"Alright, I'll bite" she said walking to the front of the class.
Say hi to Tumee (Aries). The first girl of the D1G. It's funny and amazing that such a careless and intelligent girl could be involved in a group like ours.

She went to the front of the class and talked about basic vacation activities. While she was talking, Amelia (Lil A) slipped a note on my desk when Mr. Baking wasn't looking. I picked it up, put it under my desk, and opened it as quietly as I could. When opening a note, my eyes never left the teacher until it was opened. Once I got it opened, it read:
"Meeting at lunch, this is serious business"
I looked at her and nodded. After ranting on for a minute more, Cherese (Princess) got up and interrupted Aries.
"Aye, Aries. Shut up and let someone else take the floor" he said.
Aries stopped, stuck her tongue out, laughed, then walked to her desk next to me.
*key note: everyone who was in D1G, no matter what class they were in, sat next to each other*
"Anybody else want to tell us the fun they had?" Mr. Baking said.
A couple students raised their hands so I knew I had time to talk to my crew for a while. I passed the note to Nate, who passed it to Aries, who passed it to Princess. We all nodded each time.

The final 5 seconds of class, I'm just staring at the clock ready to zoom out. When that bell hit, I was OUT of that classroom. I slowed down in the hallways because I didn't want to have another run in with the school's assistant principal, Mr. Boone.
In the hallways, I ran into my girlfriend, Breona (Bre).
"Hey baby boy" she said happily.
"Hey baby girl" I said as I kissed her.
She hugged me and we walked downstairs to the first floor.
*Flowers has 3 floors and we were on the 3rd*
"Hey, we have a meeting at lunch today. Meet at the usual spot" I said.
"What about now?" She asked.
"I have no idea. Lil A called this meeting" I responded.
It was silent for a minute. I looked at Bre and kept looking at her because she had her "thinking" face on.
"It's amazing" she said.
"What is?" I asked.
"The D1G. Everyone wants to be us so bad." She laughed.
Everyone knew about our group. Everyone knew who we all was individually. But no one knew who was in the group. We were a living legend. A rumor that was true. I thought about it for a second, then chuckled.

We arrived at Bre's classroom. Before she walks in, she turns around, gives me a kiss, and runs in to her friends. I started making my way upstairs to the second where I ran into George (Orange).
"Yo" he said as he was closing his locker.
"Sup nigga" I said giving him a head chuck.
"What's new?" He asked.
"Meeting. Lunch. Usual spot. Be there." I said.
He shot me a look. It looked as if he was about to say something but didn't because he knew I was being serious.
"Ight man, catch ya later" I said throwing him a peace sign.
He didn't say anything, he smiled, threw up a peace sign, walked to class. I ran upstairs to my second period as fast as I could. The bell rang before I could get there. I walked into class knowing that Ms. Rivers was going to throw a fit.
"And why are we late again Mr. Hines?" Ms. Rivers said sitting down. She didn't even look up at me.
"Well WE had things to do" I responded.
The whole class stopped and looked at me like I was crazy. Ms. Rivers was silent. After a few moments of processing what she was going to say, all she told me to do was to get out. I happily walked out the classroom and said to myself: congrats idiot.

With nothing else to do, I decided to go to my next period teacher's class. Mr. Dickey was a chill guy and had absolutely no problem with me so I knew he was going to let me chill there for the period. I took the outside route. I did not feel like dealing with security so it was the best route. As I walked in, everyone starred at me.
"What do you need Jaedan" he asked.
"Ms. Rivers again" I responded.
He shot me a look, thought about it for a second, then nodded. I pumped my fist in celebration then ran over to a "reserved" seat next to Mr. Dickey's desk. As soon as I sat down, I pulled out my phone and went to the D1G group chat. I texted:
"Everyone, Lil A's calling a meeting at lunch. Be there."
Everyone read it and responded with a simple "OK". I took out my earphones some rock music. After a while of getting bored, I put my phone in my pocket with the music still playing and dozed off. I had 2 periods to sleep so I enjoyed every last moment of it.
