Chapter 5: The Gender Reveal

Today was a very exciting day for True and her family. They were going to find out the baby's gender, and everyone was excited.

True was sitting on the couch and talking to Bartleby.

"Can you believe it Bee? We're finally gonna know whether the baby will be a boy or girl! I'm so excited!" said True

"Me too!" said Bartleby "I'm really hoping it's a boy."

"Well, I'm kinda hoping for it to be a girl, but I'll still love them, no matter what they are!" said True

"Yeah, I feel the same way." said Bartleby "But your parents sure have been up there for a long time."

"Yeah, you're right Bee. I'm gonna go check on them." said True

True went upstairs to her parent's room. When she opened the door, she saw them sitting on the side of their bed. They both looked over at her.

"Oh, hey True. Need anything?" asked Courage

"No. But me and Bartleby have been waiting downstairs for a while. Aren't we supposed to leave soon?" asked True

"Yes, we are. We're leaving in a few minutes. We'll be down in a bit." said Courage

"Oh. Ok." said True

True left the room and closed the door.

"Well, we should probably go down now." said Courage, beginning to get up.

"Hold on Courage." said Faith, grabbing his arm. "I...need to talk to you."

"Oh. About what?" asked Courage, sitting down.

Faith looked upset. This made Courage concerned.

"Honey? What's wrong?"

"Well, it's just...I've been feeling the same way I did when I was pregnant with True. I'm feeling self-conscious, you know? My tummy's been getting bigger, and it's made me feel fat and unattractive. I know that it's just the baby growing inside of me, but that doesn't change how I feel." said Faith

Suddenly, Courage took hold of Faith's hand and put his arm around her belly. He looked at Faith with kindness.

"Oh honey, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. I still find you just as gorgeous and beautiful as I always have. Plus, I think you're tummy makes you look even cuter. Trust me honey. You're smokin'!" said Courage, looking at Faith with loving eyes.

Courage's words caused Faith to blush red.

"Thank you honey. I feel a lot better now." said Faith

"No problem hun. Just stating the facts, which I have verified." said Courage

"Let's go down now. We should get going." said Faith

They both went downstairs to the living room.

"Ok you two, it's time to go. Have you used the bathroom already True?" asked Courage

"Uh huh. I did." said True

"Alright then. Let's get going."

They all went out to the car, and soon they were on their way to the hospital.

"I bet you're excited eh True? You finally get to find out if you'll have a little sister or a little brother." said Courage

"I know! I'm so excited! I'm kinda hoping it'll be a girl, but I'll love them no matter what they are." said True

"That's good. Me and daddy feel the same way. We're both excited." said Faith

"I'm excited too." said Bartleby "Honestly I'm hoping it'll be a boy, but I feel the same way you guys do. I'm going to be the cool uncle!"
