Everyone's gotta love an adventure SOMEHOW. But not Finley Thompson—She'd rather stay in the safe-haven that is her town. As the perfectionist she is, she plans out every day from Monday till Sunday. But this time, this very Monday, isn't the same. As what Finley plans for everyday, she wakes up, and gets ready for school. Showering, Washing her face, Putting on a light face of blush, and eats her breakfast.
"Bye Mom, Bye Dad!"

Packing her bags, She boards the school bus—As soon as she gets on the bus and picks her seat, all she hears is small talk about this new Action-Adventure movie.
"Oh my gosh! no way it's like.. so cool though!" "I know right?? It's the best movie ever!"
"Hey bro, if you buy us tickets to that movie, we'll return your lunch money." "Nahh nahh i can
afford it bro!"

Finley zones out, but still she wonders.. "This movie seems interesting.. What if i watched it?" Still pondering, the bus tires screech, snapping Finley out of her trance. All the students get off in a rush as they all crowd the exit door. Finley accidentally trips, and unfortunately being stepped on by some clueless students. Once the crowd clears, Finley gets up and wipes herself off from that 'icky street dust'. She gingerly walks to the entrance, as she is approached by a student, but  no ordinary student, it was Lance— Finley's close friend.
They both enter the school premises, and Finley's ears start ringing as more gossip about the new movie floods her ears.
She covers them hoping to reduce the noise.

Finley and Lance part ways as they both enter their first classes. The school day passes as usual. Finley boards the bus to arrive home, and once again the beckoning calls to purchase the movie overcome her. Finally, once she gets home, she does not only refuse to enter her house, but goes to the local movie rent to purchase the movie. Once she arrives, she does as intended using what she has left of her allowance.

After purchasing the movie, she heads home and plays the movie on the television. Halfway in, she is already so invested—it's like she's hypnotised. With all the action she stares in awe, with the adventure she is fixated on it's beauty. After finishing the movie, the disk pops out of the cartridge. With this fresh memory of the movie, she opens up to a new part of her life. Something has changed inside of her.
"No way.. I feel.. different? I mean- I'm the same! But I feel new.." she speaks to herself, perplexed.
"Honey? You okay?"
"Yes mom.. I'm fine."
"I can see how much you enjoyed that lovely movie Finley. I assume it 'changed' something in you?"
Finley's mom chuckles jokingly.

"YES. MOM! IT DID CHANGE SOMETHING IN ME! I.. don't- this doesn't make sense, but I want to try adventuring."
"Well that's something, Finley." Finley's father responded with a fond smile and cocky look.

Author's notes

I did not intend to specify the name of the infamous action-adventure movie mention in this chapter, because the objective was to tell you what inspiration the movie game to Finley and what changed her so much. And also, I think I might be getting better at writing stories.

Peace out, fellas.
