Zahra's pov.
It's been a whole week of writing exams and I'm so tired. Thanks to God we're done, but the weekend's already over and tomorrow is Monday. I haven't met Waleed but we've talked on phone for the week. He must definitely be hiding something. He said he'll be going home last time we met but he ought to have been back. He told me he's back but he brings up excuses when I ask to meet him, I also didn't see him throughout the exam period. He definitely isn't back I know. And another thing that arises my suspicions is that he is Nigerian but is being recognized and respected. He even walks around with men both African and English. He even has a house and has guards in this house.
"Could he be a secret agent?" My subconscious questioned. "No he can't hide such a matter of great concern" "but what if he's truly hiding something, I'll just ask him and see whether he'll tell the truth or if he'll just cover it up with excuses again".
"Zahraaa" Ella shook me out of my thoughts.
"What's wrong, this is the third time I'm calling you and your attention is elsewhere".
"Oh sorry, when did you get back?" I asked remembering that they went to visit their relatives in Sweden.
"We got back earlier in the morning, all the girls are in the sitting room, so what are you doing here alone and thinking? Girl share your thoughts, what are friends for."
"Just missing someone" I lied.
"I know that someone must be Waleed since he travelled too".
"How did you know he isn't here at Oxford" I questioned knowing that I did not talk to the girls about him being in Nigeria.
"I and Bella saw him at Sweden, we called out his name but he was unable to hear us. You didn't tell me he's going there."
"You see Ella, I'm stressed out beyond imagination this week due to the exams. Please I need to rest before tomorrow." I pleaded trying to avoid her question.
Okay she said as I heaved a sigh of relief.
So he went to Sweden and told me he's going home. There's definitely something he's hiding. And I'll figure it out somehow.

Waleed's pov.
While I went to Nigeria, Abid went over to Sweden to start our mission. And I joined him the day after but something happened which keeps me bereft of my focus. Upon entering our house, our home, my two siblings Deejah and Aliyah screamed and galloped to hug me. They screamed in excitement so loudly that my mom came running down thinking something happened. She had a worried look while coming down the stairs which was replaced by a smile. I missed every single thing about my home. I missed every one especially Aliyah which is the youngest and cutest, she's just getting to six. I dropped Aliyah which was in my arms and I rushed over to hug my Ummi. I hesitated but she opened her hands wide so I dashed into her arms.
"Waleed, you can't even call us. The last time you called was more than a month ago. And when we try calling your line is always busy"
"Ummi, you should remember that this time around I'm not abroad to study but I'm on a mission. I don't even have enough time to myself and I thought you guys didn't miss me" I said mustering up puppy eyes.
"Of course we miss you Yayah" Deejah replied.
"Hmm su Deejah kenan(Hmm that's Deejah for you) if I am to stay for a week now you'll start annoying me and even beg me to leave soon"
"But Yayah you're the one who's disturbing my peace with your overprotectiveness. I can't even go out alone or talk to my friends without you sending guards for the former and invading my privacy for the latter"
"You need to understand that you're not a normal girl, you're a minister's daughter. Even though we live a private life, those that know, know and in the fight of politics, your life might be endangered"
"Soon enough you'll be married and won't disturb me"
"Marriage" I asked directing to my mom.
"Yes Waleed, your father informed me that he has called you since two weeks ago but you refuse to come. So before you meet him you now have a clue of what you're discussing" Ummi said with a stern look.
"Yay Yayah Waleed will bring us a new Amarya". Aliyah jumped in excitement.
I was already boiling with anger so Deejah didn't bother talking. There was silence except for Aliyah's squeals. Ummi left for her room and I also left for mine.
It looks just the way I left it. I know it must have been cleaned everyday. How do I even tell Zahra about this. I'm marrying no other girl. I don't love this girl, I don't even know her. How do I even tell Zahra about this.
The ring on my phone took me out of my trance.
I went closer to my bed and looked at the name "Amor😍". We discussed what we'd call each other a day before yesterday on a call. That's what I saved Zahra's name with. I haven't called her today maybe that's why she's calling. I rejected the call and called her back like the gentleman I am.
"Hey Amor, how are you doing" I said trying to hide my frustration.
"Amanté, you said you'd call me once you reached. I hope you're home safely, have you eaten, are you okay, hope you're fine and nothing happened, oh what a relief it is to hear your voice, I had a bad dream last night and was worried and couldn't wait longer to hear that you're fine"
"Babe, geez calm down, I'm fine. Just got to my room that's why I didn't call".
"Okay fine bae I'll let you rest and sleep, I know you must be tired and sleepy"
"Oh Amor, this is one of the many reasons I want you every time. You know what I just need. Okay bye for now"
"Byeee" she replied then hanged up.
I just keep loving her more with every single second that passes. Why would Abba do this to me.
"Yayah, ummi tace in fada ma Abba ya dawo kazo ka same shi (Yayah Ummi said I should inform you that Abba is back and you should come and meet him). Aliyah said as she banged the door open without knocking. I just smiled at her and nodded.
