Chapter 30: Gossiping

[Junior's POV]

We were in my room, all sitting in a circle. Of course, gossiping about what had happened during dinner.

"Did you guys see the way Mario stared at them? He looked like he was about to kill dad!" - Lemmy

"Duh, everyone could see that coming from a mile away. I would bet all my games that the truce will be over in less than a month!" - Larry

"It will definitely be over quickly, but what if dad already planned something? He seemed pretty annoyed by Mario." - Wendy

"If he had something planned, we would definitely notice, or he would tell us. But do you guys really think dad would betray Papa Luigi like that? If he does something to Mario, it will hurt Luigi too, no doubt!" - Iggy

"You're right... oh! Did you guys see how Luigi sat on dad's lap!? It won't take long before he'll become our actual papa!" Jr.

"We better get a wedding soon! Before that idiot called Mario ruins their relationship." - Roy

"You are right. If Mario gets between them, we'll never get to see the day Luigi becomes our actual Papa. I say we make him leave again. Who's in!?" - Morton

"I'm in!" - all Koopalings except Ludwig

"Ludwig? What about you?" - Morton

"Wouldn't making Mario leave also hurt Papa Luigi? That's not what we want, is it? We should maybe talk to Mario and tell him not to ruin it between them instead of immediately making him leave." - Ludwig

I could see all the other koopalings except Ludwig thinking. Obviously, he made a point there. Isn't this topic a little too serious? I should get the fun back here by telling them what I saw!

"Enough thinking about that. Guess what I saw through Kamek's vents some time ago!" - Jr

"What did you see?"  "Was it dad and Kamek speaking again?" "Did you see their journal again!?" They all screamed through one another.

"Quiet you all!" Ludwig yelled, and the others quieted down, "What did you see, Jr?" Heheh! None of them were right!

"I saw Kamek with a Koopa troopa guard. They were touching each others arms and stuff!!! What if Kamek and that koopa troopa guard have something together!?"

They all looked at me in shock.

"That would explain dad's gayness!!"
"What else did you see!?"
"Did you hear their conversation!?"
"Have they kissed!?"

"Isn't Kamek way older?"
"Shut up! You don't even know Kamek's age!"
"Neither do you!!"

Then Morton and Roy started fighting. I was more focused on trying to remember what I had seen. And then suddenly.... "QUIET DOWN ALL OF YOU!"

We each jumped up and looked at who yelled that. Dad had entered the room without any of us noticing. He came over to us, "What is all this ruckus about? Kamek and a koopa troopa?"

I looked at the door to see if he closed it, which he had. He sat down in our circle. "I also saw them together earlier today in Kamek's room. They even hugged each other!!"

Dad joins our gossip group!? Hell yes! "I smell a ship between Kamek and a koopa troopa incoming!" I said jokingly. Obviously, Kamek would either be too old or just a dad to them.

After multiple minutes of us gossiping about multiple things later, the door opened again. It was Papa Luigi!

I ran over to him and hugged him. He seemed confused and got down to my level to whisper something. "What topic is it today?"

"Many different ones, come sit down and you'll join!"

'Hehe, I am SO gonna make him sit next to dad.' I grabbed his arm and ran over to sit next to Bowser and put Papa in between.

[Luigi's POV]

'What did I just get dragged into? I was just gonna ask if they had music here... well, the koopalings were talking about Kamek and a koopa troopa guard? Huh?

What chapter did I miss here? I thought... you know what, never mind what I thought.'

While I was sitting there, I could feel that Bowser sometimes looked at me. Not gonna lie, I did look at him sometimes, too.

I scooted a little closer to him, hoping that they didn't notice. Of course, at least one of them did. Though most were too busy talking about stuff that was a little hard to hear.

"Enough talking about that new game. Let's get a more interesting topic." Ludwig said as he cracked his knuckles and looked over to Bowser and I. "What's going on between you 2?"

I felt my face light up at that question. Didn't they already know!? I looked up at Bowser, who was (strangely enough) also looking at me.

I quickly turned away again. "Nothing much besides sleeping together and cuddling..." Bowser said as convincing as possible.

"Well, then, why did you make him sit on your lap?" These koopalings should become detectives or something! I mean, it's not like no one would notice it if a human is sitting on the Koopa KING'S lap.

My face had gotten so red by this point that I could look like a tomato. Not shortly after, Bowser replied. "Obviously, Mario took his seat. I only gave him a new one."

The koopalings all giggled at his answer. I just looked everywhere except where anyone sat as I tried to calm my breath down again.

Once I was calm, I felt a big hand around me, and before I realised that it was Bowser's hand, I was already lying against him. "If you don't want me to lie, I'll have to admit that I do love Luigi."

My face lit up again, even if I knew it, HUH!? The koopalings were even more shocked than I was. "So you 2 ARE together!?"

"I told you!"
"Awh man, there goes my 10 coins..."

I heard more than that but ignored most of it as I looked up at Bowser, who was smiling down at me.

How did we turn from enemies to lovers..? Eh, what does it even matter. As long as I love him and he loves me, nothing else matters.

The koopalings went into their own little circle to whisper about us. It's not like we would care that much.

I laid my head back against Bowser's body, and I could feel my tiredness returning. The heat of his body was oddly comforting.

My eyelids got heavier, and eventually, I fell asleep against him.

[Bowser's POV]

The koopalings turned back to us, and suddenly, they all went quiet. Huh? Why were they suddenly silent?

I looked down and saw that Luigi had fallen asleep against me. He looks so cute like this. As careful as possible, I placed my hand around/underneath him. "Goodnight kiddo's"

I left the room and went back into our room. I placed him down in the bed and laid down close to him. Putting my arm gently around him.
