Ch. 5

                                      Akiko POV 

I am sitting in Reiji's study. Sitting across from him at his desk. 

"Here you are." He said 

"Thank you." I said grabbing it gently 

And suddenly it happened again. and flash.

                         Flashback

Three year old Akiko holding a book with both hands handing it to a boy with glasses looks like Reiji but younger. 

"Very well if you cannot go to sleep without me reading to you I guess it's unavoidable." He said with a bit smile 

"Not that it's a complaint I rather enjoy reading to you." He said sitting on a rocking chair with Akiko in his lap as he opens the book.

                                           End Flashback 

I look up at Reiji I knew Reiji? first Laito now him. Is my mind just simply playing tricks on me? 

"I can't help but notice you sleep more than Shuu and you're average vampire. Not to mention you have no appetite and you look more pail than usual." Reiji said 

I looked at him was.. was he keeping an extra eye on me? 

"Is there any reason why?" He asked 

"umm it's nothing..." I mumbled with the cup in both hands I looked down at the liquid seeing my reflection. seeing the sadness in the eye that wasn't covered. 

Is this how I always looked?

"Akiko?" Reiji said 

I looked up at him. 

"I didn't think you were the type to lie." He said 

I looked at him a little baffled. 

I sighed setting the cup down. 

"Are you familiar with blood tablet??" I asked because truthfully I am not just what I am told and how they make me feel.

"I have heard of them. They are highly illegal in the vampire community and dangerous. Why do you ask?" He said 

Illegal meaning I could go to jail!! I don't think I would do well in jail at the age of six!!!

I squeezed my bunny tight. 

"Akiko??" He said a little sternly 

I sighed unzipping the part of my bunny setting them in front of him. 

"They were making me take them..." I said 

Reiji arched his eyebrow but took the bottle in his hands reading the label. 

"Hmmm interesting. I'm going to do some research on this." He said 

But then stopped like something dawned on him. 

"Akiko when was the last time you had human blood?" He asked 

"About two years ago. Kinda almost killed Yui.." I mumbled as I was looking down. 

I heard him chuckle 

I looked up. 

"Humans are afraid of such things." He said 

"I'll research these but until then I cannot allow you to have them they may be dangerous." He said 

"But-" I began to panic 

"It will be alright I assure you. We have blood in the wine cellar and the human blood bag walking around." He spoke 

I nodded not liking this idea but he's right they could be dangerous. 

"It's getting early the sun will soon be up why don't you go get some sleep." He said 

I nodded I got out of my chair I opened the door but stopped I looked back. 

"Thank you.." I whispered 

I was walking to my room when I smelt it. Blood I felt this extreme thirst.I stopped in my tracks. my nostrils flaring. I closed my eyes struggling not to pursue it. Not to drink her my breathing becoming uneven and ragged. I felt my eyes start glowing red. 

I rushed to her room where she was on the floor sitting against the wall. 

She glared at me. 

"What do you want?" She snarled at me. 

That quickly I used my vampire strength to pin her neck to the wall. 

"I'm so sorry but I can't stop it this time..." I said with ragged breathing 

"No! You know what!- She began but got cut off by my fangs sinking into her wrist. I was sitting on her lap as I had her wrist with both of my hands. 

I was starving for blood this was the worse I've had this. 

squeezing my eyes shut as I drank from her. 

"P-Pleas...S-stop!" She said 

"Akiko!" I hear a voice 

I look up to see Subaru he was kneeling in front of me along with Laito. 

"Your gonna kill her release her." He said 

"It's okay kitten you did a good job just a little too much." He said helping me up to my feet. 

"Lets go find Shuu." He said picking me up
