"Colby, I'm freaking out. I literally have no idea what to wear." I tell him as I go into my room.
It was the day I was meeting Kurtis and I had no idea what to wear. I would have Elliot help but he's at work.
I also haven't talked to him much the past couple of days but that's beside the point.
"Let me see what you have in your closet." He started looking through my closet as I sat on my bed.
I didn't want to dress up too much but I didn't want to look too formal. I just don't want to look like I'm kissing ass.
After looking he eventually found one for me. It was black skinny jeans, a white crop top, and a flannel.
It was casual but looked cute. I made sure to thank him as I kicked him out of my room so I could change.
Once I changed, I walked out so I could grab my shoes. "Are you good to go? You seem stressed." He noticed as I slipped my vans on.
"I'm fine, I'm perfect. It's not like this could be my only chance." I mumble.
"Okay, I'm driving you." I laugh while I grab my phone and keys. "I can drive myself. Plus I don't know how long it's gonna take." I try to deny it.
He just shook his head as he stood up from the couch. "You need someone there and I'm gonna be that person." He smiled.
It would be nice to have another person with me. I sigh as I agree with him taking me.
We get into his car as I put the address of the studio I'm meeting him at.
"What were you planning to do while I'm gone?" I asked him curiously.
"I have some errands to run. You can just text me and I can get you." He smiled as he glanced at me.
He really was sweet, I can tell he's a genuine person. We talked all the way to the studio, Colby having to hype me up.
When I find the courage to come out, I walk into the studio and head to the lady up front.
"How can I help you?" She smiled towards me. "I have a meeting with Kurtis." She nodded as she typed on her computer.
"He'll be down in a second." She informed me. I saw a waiting area so I went over and sat down.
It took him a couple minutes to walk down, and when he did, I stood up and smiled.
"Savannah! Hi, I'm really happy you could make it." He said as he walked over towards me.
"I'm Kurtis, you can follow me." And that's what I did. I followed him into an office area.
He went to sit behind his desk as I sat in front of him. "So, there's no lie I stalked your accounts. I really do think you have true talent." He spoke.
I could feel myself blushing. "How long have you been in Los Angeles?" He questioned.
"I moved here in January so only a few months." I answer. I could feel my leg bouncing up and down.
He nodded his head for a moment. "I would love to have you on board with me. That is if you're okay with that."
I was grinning from ear to ear. I nodded my head happily as he pulled out some pieces of paper.
I signed the contract and handed it back to him. "We can get started in the booth next week so we can start writing a song together."
I was honestly thrilled. "I'm excited to work with you." We shake each other's hands and walk out of his office.
I texted Colby to let him know the meeting was over and it went really well. He said he didn't go far so he was coming.
He did say he needed gas so I think that's where he went. When I walked out, he was pulling into the front.
I climbed into the passenger's seat as he looked over at me. "So, are you gonna be a famous singer?" He questioned.
I chuckle a little as I buckle myself in. "Fingers crossed. He wants me to go back next week so we can write a song." I tell him.
He starts to drive away as he has a huge grin on his face. "I'm taking you out for a celebratory lunch." He spoke.
"Colby, you don't have to do that." I tried to tell him. He glanced at me again as he drove.
He had one hand on the wheel, the other resting. I don't know why, but the way he looked when he was driving was super attractive.
When I first met him, I did think he was really attractive. There's no doubt about it.
For some reason, if I think about Colby being attractive, I feel like I'm mentally cheating on Elliot.
Elliot and I aren't technically together. The only rule we made was that we were gonna stay as friends.
We never really said anything about dating anyone else. It's very complicated. I still love hanging out with Elliot, don't get me wrong.
I just have mixed emotions. He ended up taking me to Chili's, which I said was one of my favorites.
They took us to a table causing us to thank them while we sat down. I looked through the menu so I can figure out what looks good.
Lunch with Colby went really well. We talked about the different bars we've been to and the funny stuff we've done together.
It's crazy that I've almost known Colby for a month and we're super close already.
I feel like we got close during the movie night when we talked before Sam and Kat showed up.
I didn't really feel the bond until he stuck up for me at the bar a few nights ago.
Fans have speculated that we're dating knowing we have been hanging out more.
I learned to not pay attention during those types of comments. The food at Chili's was really good.
Colby ended up paying for it, even though I told him he didn't have to do that. Since Sam and Kat are home, we figured we could tell them the news.
I told Grant and Paige to come over to the boys house so I can tell them all together.
I can tell Elliot whenever he gets off of work. They said they were down so I told Colby I wanted to wait until the other two got there.
When we walked into Colby's we yelled throughout the house for them to come into the living room.
A minute or two later, the two walked in together, side by side. "Why do you two look so serious? That's so weird." Kat noticed.
I just shrugged while we waited for Grant and Paige to come over. Once they came, I stood up so I could look at everyone.
"So, I wanted to tell you guys this in person and all together." I look at them and sigh. I couldn't contain my smile.
"I officially got signed and we're going to start working on a song next week." Kat, Paige, and Grant all gasped.
They rushed over to me to give me a group hug, which I couldn't deny. I got a congratulations from Sam too, which was nice.
It felt nice to have all the support of my friends. They all asked questions to see if I had anything planned just yet.
We all hung around the boys house for an hour or so. We all agreed that we all need to go to a celebratory dinner for me.
Paige said she was going to head out and I said I could leave with her. I looked over at Colby to see him looking over at me.
He gave me a small smile, me doing the same thing. He's so sweet, I swear.
I'm so blessed for this group.
