I straightened the last piece of my hair, unplugging it from the wall. Tonight's the night where we're going out to eat to celebrate.

Everyone's going, but Elliot. He said that he was swamped with work but he said he'll try to make it out.

Ever since I went bar hopping with Colby and everyone, he's been a little distant.

I know he's been busy with work so I don't know if it's because of that or another reason. He did make sure to congratulate me.

I can just feel the vibe between us is changing. We haven't hooked up in awhile, he's slowly not hanging out and becoming distant.

"Are you almost ready?" Paige asked while stepping into my room. I looked at my best friend, smiling while nodding.

I grabbed my keys, wallet, and phone as we walked out the door. We were meeting everyone at Olive Garden and everyone should be there soon.

We listened to old Disney Channel music while on the way to the restaurant. Once we pulled in, we texted to see if anyone had made it here yet.

Grant said he already had a table for us near the back so we walked inside and looked.

When we found him, we all walked over to him. He had a big table for us. "Well, don't you girls look hot." He complimented us as we walked over to him.

I had on black skinny jeans, a black cami, and a leather jacket with black low top vans.

We talked while we waited for Sam, Kat, and Colby to come. When I see them walk in, I couldn't help but look at Colby.

I sucked a breath in as I looked over at him. There was no denying that he looked good.

He had on black skinny jeans, a black t-shirt, and a leather jacket, just like me.

I looked in his eyes to see his eyes travel back up to my eyes. A small smile formed on his face when he sat down next to me.

"Nice outfit." He complimented me while looking at me. I couldn't help but smile at the brunette.

Why does it feel like I'm getting butterflies? I shook them away as I complimented back.

We ordered drinks and an appetizer as we looked through the menu. Once he came back with our drinks, we all ordered our food.

I was so hungry, it's been a while since I ate. Even though Elliot couldn't come, I'm really happy that we could all come out and hang out together.

It was nice to have all of my friends support. As we sat there, we kept making jokes towards each other.

Twenty minutes later, we were all handed our food. It was really good too. I haven't had Olive Garden in forever.

I tried to pay for my food but Colby wouldn't let me. I lean back as I watch him pay for my food.

This is what I mean when I say Colby's sweet. As everyone was about to leave, Colby leaned over towards me.

"Hey, I was thinking about getting frozen yogurt. Wanna join?" He questioned while smirking.

That does sound really good. "I did drive separately." I nodded my head knowing it did sound really good.

It's been forever since I've had frozen yogurt. We all stand up and walk out of Olive Garden together.

I tell Paige that I'm going with Colby as she nods her head towards me. "I hope you two have fun but not too much fun."

Colby and I looked at her weirdly and both started laughing. We all share goodbyes as we go our own ways.

I climb into the passenger seat of Colby's car and buckle myself in. We started driving and it was silent for a moment.

"I'm surprised that Elliot didn't show up." He spoke up. I sighed as I looked over towards him.

"He's been swamped with work recently so he couldn't make it." I explained to him.

From what I could tell, he had a weird look on his face. "What are you thinking?" I asked while looking at him.

"I just think it's weird how you guys are sorta a thing and he can't come out to support you?" He questioned.

That is a good point. I was there for him when he got to work for fashion week and he couldn't come to my celebratory dinner.

After thinking about it, it does hurt a little. "I think he's been avoiding me." I frowned.

I could see him tense up a little bit, his hand tightening against the steering wheel.

"What makes you say that?" He asked while glancing over at me. I bite my lip as I think back.

"I don't know, it started when we went bar hopping together." He pursed his lips while he drove.

He looked at me for a moment before speaking. "You think he could be jealous?" He asked, I instantly shook my head no.

"Jealous of what?" I asked with a hint of laughter. He just shrugged while pulled into the parking lot.

We went into the frozen yogurt place and it was really cute in there. We make our bowls and pay for them, or at least I try to pay.

Since it was nice outside, we sat outside to eat. Since Summer was approaching fast, everything was starting to warm up.

I always loved summer and the heat. "We should all have a beach day in Malibu. I've never been." He looked at me in shock for a moment.

He did agree and said that we should all plan a day together. We sat there for a moment while eating.

"If you didn't get popular on Vine and Youtube, would you have gone to college?" I asked him curiously.

He thought about it for a moment. "I don't know, I haven't really thought about it." He started out.

"Would you have if you didn't get popular on Tik Tok, would you have gone to college?"

I nodded my head, signaling that I would. "My main passion is to become a singer." I start out.

"I told myself if that didn't work out for me by nineteen, I would go to college to become a music producer or something." I explained.

He was quiet while I spoke about it. "I think being a singer was my calling. All I want to do is perform."

He smiled as I spoke. "I can see it now, you headlining tours and shit." I've always imagined it.

Colby and I sat out here for a while and talked about life. I love how easy it is to talk to him.

I can get lost in the conversation and I don't have to worry about him judging me. It's bad because when I'm with Colby, I don't think of Elliot.

It's just simple and easy with him. After we get done with our frozen yogurt, we got back to his car so he can drop me off.

I love seeing Los Angeles at night. To me, it's not the same as New York at night but it's still very pretty.

I do get homesick at times but I do have a good support system here. "Thank you for the dinner and the frozen yogurt."

He smiles as he glances over towards me. "Don't worry about it Vanny." I don't know where the nickname Vanny came from but I like it.

I swear, it gives me butterflies for some reason. I never got butterflies like this with Elliot so I don't know what's really happening.

All I know is that I don't think I want it to stop.
