"That was the longest day of my life." I groan as I walk into Colby's house. I had just left the studio and I was there for the majority of the day.

Kurtis said he really loved my song and we ended up putting a back track to it. We finished writing it too so we're gonna start recording tomorrow.

"How did it go though? Did Kurtis enjoy your song?" He asked as we went out back. Since it was nice out, we wanted to hang out here.

I nodded my head yes as we sat down on the outdoor furniture. "Yeah, we got some music to it and finished writing it." I explain.

"Tomorrow we start recording it." Colby looked really happy about that, which also made me happy.

"I told you he was going to approve it. It's gonna be a banger." I haven't told him what it's about just yet.

There's no denying some parts of the song are about him. There are some parts that are a little fabricated.

I just hope he doesn't look too deep into it. "Oh yeah, it for sure is." I smile. It was nice outside, the sun was starting to set.

"Just don't forget me when you're famous." He joked which made me laugh. "I won't." I shake my head.

He thought about something for a moment. "If you got a deal to go on tour, would you do it?" He asked curiously.

"Oh fuck yeah. I've always wanted to do that kind of stuff. Touring the world during the day, performing at night." I couldn't help but smile while I spoke.

It's been my dream for years. I feel like it's actually happening too. "How does Elliot feel about it?" My breath caught in my throat.

Only Paige knows that Elliot and I fought last night. I haven't told Grant or anyone else yet.

"I don't know. We had a fight last night." He looked surprised to hear that.

"Do I have to kick his ass?" He asked half joking. I laughed lightly while shaking my head.

"No, you might have to beat my ass." He furrowed his eyebrows towards me, confused on why I said that.

He asked why which caused me to inhale a breath. "I guess Elliot has gained feelings for me while I haven't." I sadly speak.

"We were on the phone and he hung up the call." I tell him. He thought about something.

"Just know that it's not your fault. You can't help the way you feel about someone." Hearing that did make me feel better.

We both agreed that we would be friends. I never expected to gain feelings for someone else and Elliot gain feelings for me.

"If he for real starts trouble, just know you can call me." He told me sincerely. He's such a sweet person.

We sat out here for a little bit and talked. He ended up turning on his fire pit which was really nice.

It's always nice talking to him. We talked for a while but I was starting to get extremely tired.

And I have another long day in the studio. I left his house around eleven since I have to get up around seven.

The next morning, I was exhausted from staying up late. I took a quick shower before leaving so I could wake myself up.

I left the apartment around seven-fifteen so I could get Starbucks beforehand. Luckily, I got to the studio just in time.

I walked into Kurtis sitting there on his phone. "You excited for today?" He asked while sitting his phone down.

I nodded while I sipped on my Ice Coffee. "How long should it take to record it?" I asked curiously.

"It shouldn't take too long. Three hours at most." He informed me. I nodded as we waited for everyone to show up.

There's a vocal coach here that helps me do warm ups so I don't destroy my vocal chords.

I was honestly really excited. Once she got here and I got my warms up done, I went inside the booth.

I did mess up at first because of nerves but once they were gone, it didn't take me long to record.

It took me about an hour and a half to get the whole thing recorded. Once we were done, we listened to it and it sounded amazing.

I couldn't help but tear up causing Kurtis to hug me. When we get done listening, I look over at Kurtis, not knowing what to do.

"So now, we'll set up a photoshoot so we can use it for the single. Once done with that, we can have the single out in two weeks."

I was honestly really excited. We talked for a little while longer and we all left. As I left, Colby was calling.

I answered it as I brought it up to my ear. "What's up dork?" I asked when I answered it.

"I couldn't wait. How did it go?" He asked which made me smile. I got into my car and started it up.

"It went really well. My throat hurts a little but other than that, it went great!" I couldn't contain my smile.

I could tell he also had a smile on his face. "That's great. I think Paige and Grant are coming over to swim if you wanna join." He invited me.

"I'm down, I just need to run by the apartment so I can grab my bathing suit." I tell him.

"Okay, no rush Vanny. Just let me know whenever you're on the way." I couldn't help but blush when he called me his special nickname.

I told him I would be there soon as I drove to the apartment. When I got there, I quickly grabbed an orange bikini I thought would look good.

I grabbed a beach towel and suncreen as I left. I texted Colby to let him know I was on my way.

Traffic wasn't too bad so it didn't take me too long to get there. When I opened my car door, I could hear music playing in the back.

I went straight to the back to see everyone back there and laughing. Colby was walking out of the pool when he noticed me.

A big ass smile formed on his face when he saw me. "Vanny!" He cheered as he walked over to me.

He opened his arms up and wrapped them around me. "Colby, you're soaking wet." I groaned in his chest.

I wouldn't mind hugging him if he wasn't wet. "Hug you tighter?" He asked jokingly as he hugged me tighter.

I tried to get away but I couldn't break away from his arms. I couldn't help but laugh at how goofy he is.

Eventually, he did break away causing me to back up. I did look down at his chest and back up at his eyes.

"I'm gonna go change really quick." I smile towards him. I went inside and into his bathroom so I could change into my bikini.

I threw everything I didn't need on his bed and went outside to the pool. When I went out there, everyone was in the pool.

"Sav, stop taking forever whore." Grant slurred which made me laugh. "You're drunk." He just shrugged while I stuck my feet in it.

The water felt really good since it was really hot outside. I went into the pool with a White Claw in my hand.

Kat and Paige were in a conversation while Sam talked to Grant. I swam over to Colby as I cracked my can open.

"I needed this after the day I had." I smile towards him. I could tell he wasn't drunk but he wasn't sober either.

He casually put his arm around me as he drinks his Truly. "I'm happy you could make it. I was bored without you." He told me.

Colby could make any girl weak kneed.
