New friends

TUESDAY 7:05 , DRIVEWAY

"Y/N? The fuck are you doing here?" Dustin smiled and quickly jogged to stand next to me.
"I think we're neighbors" I said with a cheesy grin as I looked up at him.
He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and we started to walk  down the driveway.
"Do you walk everyday?" I asked suddenly realizing that if we walk all the way to school we're gonna be hella late.
"Mhmm, well sometimes I bike"
"Aren't you late everyday then"
"Nah my momma would beat my ass if I was late."
I gave him a confused look.
"How the hell do you make it to school on time"
"Do you really think I walk this slow everyday day" He said with a 'nigga are you dumb' face.
"How the hell am I supposed to know the speed you walk to school everyday?" I said and rolled my eyes.
"Heyyy I was just messing with ya N/N" He laughed slightly and moved his arm from my shoulders to around my waist.
"N/N? Where did you get that from?" I questioned.
"I dunno, I just like sound it sounds" He said then looked down at me and gave me the absolute cutest smile ever!
"Ok Dusty buns" I said with a shit eating smirk.
"Ewww, my momma calls me that!"
"Wait really!" I giggled.
"Don't call me thattt" He said giving me that same smile with his eyes squinted and his pearls showing. I couldn't help but get the worst butterflies.
"Well stop calling me N/N that name is reserved for Maya and Ana"
"Ok ma" He said then smirked.
In that moment something snapped inside me.
"Stop playing with me Dusty buns" I rolled my eyes and looked down at my feet nervously.

TUESDAY 7:48, SCHOOL COURTYARD

Me and Dustin  walked up to school on time and with quite a bit of time to spare.
"Hey wanna come sit with me and the guys?" He asked me pointing to the designated popular kid spot that they sit at in the mornings before school starts.
"Oh, um, I'm sorry, Dusty, but I gotta go fing my friends."
"It's alright, ma. I'll catch you in class?"
"Yeah, bye-bye," I said and gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked into the school.
I didn't get very far before I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder.
I turned expecting some random person but it was the two people I was looking for.
"Y/N where we're you?"
"Yeah you didn't get on the bus this morning and did you just kiss THE Dustin long?"
I took a step back and put my hands up in a protective manner.
"Ana Mai, please one question at a time" I said with a nervous smile.
"Ok well my question is why did I just see you kissing Dustin L.?" Maya said while putting her hands on my shoulders.
"It's a short story but your questions will make it a long one" I said nervously.
"And why didn't we pick you up this morning?" Ana asked this time.
"I walked to school with Dustin." I said and started walking to my locker with the two girls following behind me.
"Why did you walk to school with him?" Mai asked.
"Because we're....um...talking?" I said putting my combination into my locker.
"Since when?"
"Since last night."
"Why didn't you tell us?"
"I fell alseep"
"Ughh Y/N your so lucky you literally have everything I want" Maya whined while dragging her hands down her face.
"I dont have a loving dad and complete family. I don't have one one those" I said whole leaning against my locker with a smug look on my face.
"Maya stop complaining about what I have. Have you ever stopped to think  that there's some kids that might want what you have?" I said while shrugging.
Maya slowly turned to Ana and whispered something in her ear and Ana nodded in response then whispered in her ear
"No way they're talking crap about me while in standing right infront of them."
I whispered under my breath.
I shut my locker loudly which stopped their whispering.
They looked at me with wide eyes before I walked away going to sit with Dustin and his friends.
I'm not gonna be in a shitty mood in the morning because then I will be in a shitty mood for the whole day.

TUESDAY 8:05, COURTYARD

I stepped out into the sun and out of the school.
I made my way towards the popular kids and sat next to Dustin.
"Hey ma." Dustin said throwing his arm around my shoulders.
"Y/N? Why are you over here?" Some girl said in a sassy tone.
I looked up and saw a blonde girl giving me a dirty look, her arm linked with Ana's crush what was it Alec?
"Um I'm sorry who are you?" I said politely.
Everyone at the table got quiet and stared at us.
"No who the fuck are you?" She shot back.
"Bitch? You just said my name what the fuck to you mean 'wHo ThE fUck ArE yOu'?" I said putting air quotes around what she said.
She crossed her arms and looked me up and down before smiling.
"I like you. I'm Heather nice to meet ya" she said and reached over to shake my hand.
"Ok...?" I said to shook her hand with a confused look on my face.
When we stopped shaking hands we both quietly stared eachother in the eye for a few seconds.
"We should hand out more Y/N?"
"Sure Heather"
We smiled at eachother before we both gave our attention back to our mans and everyone started talking again.
"What was that about?" Dustin asked me.
"I don't know. I just get her I guess. Behind that mean popular girl act she doesn't seem too bad, she just needs better friends " I answered.
"Hm? Makes sense I guess" Dustin said and brought his hand down so it could rest around my waist.
