Years have passed.

The turtles, April, and Casey were now 21. Everyone was a bit older and things were a bit different. There was peace in the city and mutants were accepted. The inhabitants of New York no longer had to live in fear. 

April and Casey married and had a baby girl named Melissa who is now 3. The O' Neil family welcomed two more family members whom Kirby adopted. 

One was Sofia, Kirby's neice, who became an orphan a few years ago. She is deaf, and is now 17. The other child is Eva. Her father was killed by the Kraang. She's 18 and ninja.

Karai and Shinigami had twin girls, Vivienne and Vienna, who were 2. Everyone was currently celebrating Mikey's 21st birthday. The turtles each have a birthday. Splinter allowed them to choose their birthdays as kids.

Mikey was having a special birthday party in the lair with all of his family, friends, and allies. Mikey hadn't changed much in the last several years except that he was a bit taller, but still the shortest turtle though. 

The lair was decorated beautifully. April soon walked into the lair with her family. "Hey, Mikey! You're finally 21!" Mikey smiled. "Sure am!" He saw Sofia and walked up to her, signing something. 

Sofia smiled and hugged Mikey tightly before signing something back to him. She coukd speak, but she preferred to sign. And, she developed selective mutism after her parents died. Sofia then went to hang out with the other turtles. 

Mikey smiled more when he saw Kirby holding little Melissa. "Happy birthday, Mikey!" Kirby smiled, putting Melissa down and hugging Mikey. "Thanks, oji!" Mikey hugged back tightly.

"Happy biwfday!" Melissa echoed. Mikey awed and patted her head. He adored his neice! Vienna and Vivienne then toddled around as Splinter was following them, making sure they didn't fall. 

Mikey laughed and played with the twins and Melissa while Splinter and Kirby talked. Soon, Mondo Gecko and the Mighty Mutinimals came so Mikey hung out with Mondo and Leatherhead. 

Soon, the time for gifts came. Mikey got a lot of new comkc books, a laptop which he'd been wanting, some cookbooks, some handmade cards and drawings from his neices, some pride stuff, and It's of other things.

The happy turtle grinned happily and sincerely thanked everyone. The party soon continued as there was music l, food, snacks, candy, and sodas. Everyone was having a good time, especially the birthday boy. 

"Hey otouto, you know what being 21 means?" Raph asked a while later. "No, what?" Mikey grinned. "You get to drink alcohol for the first time!" Raph added. Mikey smiled at that. He pretended to be really excited. 

Ever since Leo turned 21, Mikey would beg his family to let him drink too. But, they always told him he had to wait until his 21st birthday. That was the rule of the Hamato sewerhold. 

"Oh, yeah! I can't wait!" Mikey fibbed. The truth was, he already had tried alcohol for the first time. No one but Mondo gecko and Casey knew though. And they swore to not tell anyone. 

The party continued for a while until Mondo brought over some beer cans. "You ready for your first beer, Mikey?" Karai asked. "Shell yeah, sis! Hand it over!" Raph, Casey, Mondo, Slash, and Karai took one as did Mikey. 

Everyone was watching Mikey. He faked excitement and opened the can. "Here we go!" He took a sip. "Woah? Is this what beer tastes like? I had no idea!" He faked a suprise look. 

Leo, Raph, and Donnie noticed that Mikey didn't seem as excited as he should be. He'd been talking about not being able to wait to try his first beer for months.  

"Mikey? Have you...had beer before? You seem kind of like you already knew it would be good." Donnie said. "Yeah, and you don't seem that excited to try it like you normally are." Leo added curiously. 

"Uh no, of course not, bros! I've never had beer before, this was my first time!" Mikey lied, smiling a bit too wide. Of course, his brothers saw right through the lie.

"Hamato Michelangelo!" Everyone said as Mikey gulped and nervously laughed. Raph crossed his arms  "Mike, you drank beer before?" Mikey sighed and nodded his head. .

"Yeah, a few months ago, Casey got some beer and shared some with Mondo when he accidentally found out. Then, I couldn't help myself...I tried it.." Mikey admitted as everyone looked shocked. 

"I had it a few more times after that...I'm really sorry, I know I should have waited until I was 21, but I just couldn't..." Mikey added. The other turtles and Splinter sighed. 

"You knew the rules, Michelangelo, no alcohol until you were 21." Splinter scolded. "I know, papa..." Mikey said softly. "Today, you will not be punished since it is your birthday." Splinter reassured him. 

Mikey's eyes lit up as he cheered. Everyone laughed at that. "But, tomorrow you must give up your T-Phone for a week, and you will be allowed no alcohol for a month." Splinter added. 

Mikey nodded. "That's fair." He smiled a bit. Mikey finished his beer with the ones that had one before April lit the candles on the cake which was 21 different layers high. Mikey's eyes got huge when he saw it.

Each layer had a different flavor: cherry, orange, lemon, raspberry, blueberry, fudge, strawberry, coconut, pineapple, vanilla, peach, brownie, funfetti, black raspberry, mint, cheesecake, mango, pistachio, chocolate, maple syrup, and peanut butter. 

Everyone sang to Mikey who then made a wish before extinguishing the candles with his breath. The cake was then cut and eaten. Soon after, people and mutants started heading out. They wished Mikey a happy birthday before leaving. 

"So, you have a good 21st birthday, Mikey?" Leo asked. "Yep, the best ever, bro! Too bad I got in trouble, though." Mikey replied as he regretted drinking behind his family's backs. "That's why you follow the rules!" Leo told him. 

"But breaking them is more fun!" 

"Raph!"
