"Hey, pretty lady,"

A soft, thick, American accent filled my ears. His hand slid round my back and onto my hip as his hot breath beat against my neck. The sound of his voice sent chills down my spine. I spun round and stumbled slightly into him. He chuckled.

"Watch yourself," he whispered, winking down at me. "What's your name, darlin'?" My eyes were locked onto his and I found myself speechless. They were of a deep hazel and his half smile made my stomach uneasy.

"Ella.." I breathed. "My name is Ella." He smiled again and nodded.

"That's a mighty pretty name." He leaned in close to me and pulled me tight against him. I felt his hot lips meet my neck and he kissed gently. I pulled away slightly and stared at him.

"Who are you?" But he didn't reply. He just watched me, smiling and biting his lip. If he wasn't going to tell me, I would find out myself. Shannon would know him - it was her stinking party. As I tried to pull away to find her, the stranger forced me back and held onto me. Shaking his head, he whispered

"My name is Chris, sweetheart. And you're not leaving me." Something about this boy made me weak. His eyes, his smile, his hair; he had such perfect features. I was afraid of him, but I also wanted to stay close to him. I felt as if other people in the room were watching us. I was wrong. Everybody was going about their own business. Chris had me in the corner and he was enjoying every moment of it. Each time he touched me, I flinched. Nobody had touched me before, let alone a stranger. The music playing was slow and hypnotic which didn't help at all.

"Have you got a boyfriend, pet?" I froze. I didn't want to let him know I was single, but I didn't want him to think I was taken either. He watched me, longing for an answer. "I'm gonna go with no." A smile spread across his face as I nodded slowly, confirming that he was correct. Chris' hand reached out and he touched my face gently, admiring my features. He smiled as his finger brushed over my flushed cheeks. I wanted to speak but I couldn't - I didn't know what to say. He was so mesmerising. His phone buzzed in his pocket and I felt the vibrations on my leg. After reading his text and sighing he said gently

"I'm going to have to go. Pass me your phone." I reluctantly pulled my phone out and passed it to him and he typed in his number. "I text myself to make sure I had yours, too, babe." Damn. I just wanted to get away from him. Chris leaned in and kissed my cheek gently. He laughed.

"I'll be seeing you."
