I fell onto the sofa and switched the TV on as my mum hummed cheerily in the kitchen. All I could think about was Chris. He was so charming but he seemed dangerous. I didn't want to get involved with that. The colours on the TV danced around on the screen but I didn't pay attention. I was in my own world fantasising about what our date would be like and how he'd charm me and treat me like his princess. My phone buzzed. I didn't hesitate and whipped it out quickly.

Christofer:
yes..our date tonight :p pick ya up at 3pm sweetie -chris x

3? It was 1 already. I rushed up the stairs and I felt my mums eyes watch me as I did so but I didn't care. The lilac summer dress was laid out on my bed with a pair of cute, white socks and a dainty pair of brogues. I sighed and smiled half heartedly down at the garments. They looked so pretty and elegant on the bed. On me, they looked awful. I quickly jumped in the shower and then started to get ready. Reluctantly, I slipped the dress over my head and stared at myself in the mirror and smiled sweetly at my reflection. I then sat down and began to curl my hair loosely and then comb it out to create small waves. I looked so girly - I hated it. My make up was light and simple. I then put on my socks and the cute brogues and made my way downstairs.

"Oooooooooooooooooooooooh Ella! You look so lovely!" Just as I predicted, my mother was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. 2:30pm. My stomach turned and I became hot and flustered. My phone buzzed.

Christofer:

um...wats ur address?haha i forgot that detail xp -chris x

I giggled down at my phone and typed back:

34 Wauluds Bank Drive. Haha x

3:00pm. I felt myself growing more sick and convinced myself that he was standing up. I was close to tears when a silhouette appeared on my door step. Standing up nervously, I made my way to the door, clutching my stomach. My hand was shaking as I reached out for the door handle.

"Good afternoon, pretty lady." Chris' voice made me so weak. He was wearing a red checked shirt covered by a heavier, denim jacket, tight fitted jeans, and the same cute pair of moccasins he was wearing the day before. He was holding a bouqet of daisys in his hand. Chris handed me the flowers and I smiled sweetly. I felt my mum creeping round the back of me and trying to get another peek of Chris.

"Mum.. get lost." I didn't turn around, but I felt her quickly dart away.

"You ready to get going, darlin'? I hope you like vegan food.." He shyly said as he watched me. I smiled and nodded. I couldn't make eye contact with him. He made me nervous. Chris was much more shy and gentle than he was the other night and was acting like such a gentleman. He took my hand gently and lead me down my garden path and to his car. His hands were soft and he held onto me quite protectively. He opened the car door for me and watched me as I stepped in, ensuring that I was in comfortably. Chris then made his way to the other side of the car and sat in the drivers seat. After strapping himself in and fixing his hands on the steering wheel, he smiled.

"I'm taking you somewhere special."
