Ice Age: A Spooky Mammoth Halloween

Pumpkin Soup

It only lasted half an hour when Crash and Eddie finished carving their pumpkin and it was even more perfect, neat and scarier than their previous works of art. They snickered as they climbed inside the pumpkin and lifted it up, which happened to be quite heavy. It now seemed that they pumpkin was pretty much moving on its own as Crash and Eddie made their way out of the cave

"No, no. Go to the left!"

"No, the right!"

They struggled to walk out of the cave while still being inside the carved out pumpkin, but they eventually did. And the first thing they did was making their way to the first one to witness their new invention for this holiday

"Hey, should we name this pumpkin?" Crash asked as Eddie hummed while licking up the left over pumpkin flesh

"How 'bout Jack?" He suggested as Crash replied

"Awesome! We should also give pumpkin faces a name, hollow pumpkins with goosebump-giving faces with a light on the inside"

"Like a lantern?" Eddie asked as Crash shrugged

"How about Jack the Lantern? Or Jack o' Lantern- ugh, I don't know! Let's just show this to the others" Crash hurried as he and Eddie started walking faster, until they've bumped into something stiff

"Hey!"

Outside, Mitch blinked confused after he felt something bump against him from behind while he was just chatting with Lily, Chase and Zoë

"Huh?" Mitch mumbled as he and the others turned around to see the moving pumpkin cackling

Screaming in terror, they instantly run towards a boulder and hid behind it. The two possums laughed as they came crawling out and wiped off some of the pumpkin leftovers. The four children carefully peeled from behind their hiding place and saw Crash and Eddie grinning mischievously while waving. And they were both really confused

"Uncle?" Chase asked, followed by Zoë

"Crash and Eddie?"

"What is that?!" Lily asked as she cringed and frowned at the carved pumpkin

"This is our new invention for Halloween! We call it the Jack o' Lantern. You carve a scary face into a hollow pumpkin, place a light in it and at night, they'll be scary and almost everywhere!" Eddie laughed in an evil way to make it seem more lurid

"Well, "Jack" should just stay away from us" Mitch huffed as Lily sighed and scoffed

"Don't be such a big crybaby. It's only a stupid and ugly pumpkin"

"What are you two scared of?" Zoë asked the possum twins as they both shook their heads and denied anything

"Are you scared of nothing?" Again, they swore nothing could scare them

"You must be scared of something" Chase assumed as Crash and Eddie scoffed

"When will you youngsters learn that we're the kings of Halloween?" Crash grinned with full chest while Eddie took a hero's stance

"We swear by the stars that no one and nothing will ever-"

"The pumpkins are gone!"

Sid was the one yelling that from far away back at the cave. The possums gulped and shivered when they realized they must be looking for the pumpkins for the soup. Which for one, two of them got smashed and two, they carved out the last pumpkin

The four children stared at the possums as Zoë grinned

"Are you sure you're not scared?"

Back at the cave, Sid was checking the dark stocking room for the pumpkins while Manny was standing outside. It was dark and they couldn't see anything
