"Dad your back" I say running towards my dad smiling all of a sudden he slaps me right across the face "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME HAVEN'T I TOLD YOU BEFORE" he yells angrily "I'm sorry" I say looking down while fiddling with the bottom of my dress and holding in my tears "What a Stupid child" my mother says while walking in to the living room "I didn't mean to upset you I promise"I say as tears start falling down my cheek then mother kicks me "Brat how dare you upset your father and then fail to acknowledge me" she says while kicking me over and over again "I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry" I cry out as she hits me "You better be brat now get up and bring your father a cold beer he's been working his ass off for you" mother say pointing to the kitchen "Yes mother" I say as I get up and walk to the kitchen "Hurry up you damn brat"he says as I walk back in to the living room with the cold cup of beer "Here you go father" I say handing him the beer "you call this cold" he says as he pours the beer on my head and throws the cup at me "Sorry father I'll get you more" I say picking up the cup "No" he say crossing his arms "what do you mean?" I say "get out your spending the night outside" he says while mother smiles "but I-" i say getting cut off by my dad "don't you dare talk back to me in my house you fucking brat" he say slapping me again "yes father" I say on the verge of tears "Hurry up damn it" he says getting mad as I run out the house. The next day I walked back home and open the door to see my mother and father eating breakfast and it smelt really good "good morning father good morning mother can I have some of the food?" I ask "such a greedy little girl your as fat ass a pig do you really need more food" mother says glaring at me father gets up angrily and slaps me over and over again but i don't know why i often asked for food in the morning and i'd get some but have to eat outside so why, why was he beating me this time i didn't do anything it's not fair.
I wake up sweating like crazy. It's been years since I had a dream about them so why am I thinking about them now "Hey kid you good?" Yasopp asked while opening the door with shanks peeking his head in "Yea I'm fine it was just a bad dream" I say trying to avoid any other questions "About what?" Shanks asks "People I would much rather forget about" I say annoyed but also tired "Do you wanna talk about it kid?" Yasopp asks "No" i say slightly almost instantly at the thought of talking about them "Are you sure it would make you feel better kid" Yasopp says "Are you sure about that?" I ask wondering if it'll maybe help me "Yea it works for me at least" he says "Fine but you idiots can't tell anyone else ever even if it's god him self this isn't something i want people to know about" I say in a slightly nervous and worried tone of voice "I promise" They both say in sync while yassop closing the door than they both sat on my bed "The dream was about my very shitty parents" I say slightly annoyed "shity parents?" Shanks says kinda confused "Yea my 'parents' were very very shitty assholes but I was to stupid and scared to do anything about it then makino ended up taking me away from them 5 years back I've barely even thought about it until today and it's pissing me off" I say "So what did they do to earn this shitty parents title" Yasopp asks "I. . . I don't really wanna to talk about it I'll probably just end up crying" I say already on the verge of tears from just the thought of telling them "N/n tell us, you don't have to say all of it if you don't wanna" Shanks says seriously "I wasn't aloud near my father and if I did get to close he'd beat me, I was always expected to acknowledge them when they entered or exited a room i was in. If they felt i was too rude I was sent outside to eat and sleep" I say while tears fall down my face then i feel Shanks arm around me and Yasopp patting my head which only made me cry even more. Normally if something happened I would have Makino with me to hug and comfort me but I don't anymore I have other people in my life to help me in that way "Y/n you said you didn't leave until 5 years ago but we've known you for a lot longer than that'' Yasopp says while trying to do the math in his head "I wasn't aloud home during the day it's that or I wasn't aloud out" I say while resting my head on Shanks chest "kid are you sure that you don't want anyone else to know'' Yasopp says nervously "No one" I say "Okay kid if you say so" Yasopp says.
I'm not sure what happened after that but when I woke up both Shanks and Yasopp were gone. I walk on to the deck and see Yasopp and Benn waiting for me "Y/n your up" Benn says "yea I didn't sleep well that well" I say smiling slightly "Well kid were near a new island if you want you can go back to sleep for a little longer well we get there" Yasopp says "It's about a hour away" Benn says "Okay see you guys in a hour then" I say as I walk to my room kinda happy that Yasopp and Shanks haven't run there mouths about it yet. I only really got 45 minutes more of sleep before Shanks woke me up i'm not too sure why though "N/n I just realized something" Shanks says "What?" I say annoyed that he woke my up knowing damn well I got like zero sleep that night but then again he didn't get much sleep either "That's like the second time you've hugged me since I've known you" he says happily "That's why you woke me up you asshole" I say pissed while throwing my pillow at him "That's a big thing for me you know N/n" he says proud of hims self and dodging the pillow "Don't get to used to it and stop making it sound like I'm some big jerk" I say crossing my arms "Can I get another hug just encase you really never hug me again" Shanks says "How about I give you a hug and you let me sleep in peace" I say frowning "Deal" Shanks say bear hugging me "For someone with one arm your weirdly good at hugging" I say hugging Shanks back "Thank you" he say with confidence "I'm not sure that was a compliment but your welcome" I say smiling just a little
