Chapter 2

Woozi came back after sometime. Hearing that particular sentence of their leader on the phone had already made him nervous. Coups never used that sentence until it's really a big deal, so Woozi was very much certain that something big had happened. Just after entering the dorm he saw the weird environment. Everyone was already gathered up on the couch of the living room, and their whole dorm was casted with creepy silence. Woozi understood them, because in this situation nobody would dare to disturb Coups. Everyone, including him, should give him time to talk first. Woozi went straight to the couch and squeezed his place beside Jeonghan. He silently asked Jeonghan with gesture "what happened?"

Jeonghan also replied silently with hands "we don't know yet."

Coups looked at Woozi and everyone could see how his face looked so stressful. It was clear that he snapped himself back from his thoughts and asked - "Is everything okay with the producing?"

Woozi understood that Coups wouldn't be able to come to his terms to talk about the problem until he became comfortable with some light chitchat.

"It's cool, they just needed my views about some tracks that's why called me" Woozi replied.

Coups nodded his head.

"Hyung, should I call Minghao to see where he is, you're probably waiting for him too?" Jun asked after a while thinking hard.

Coups shot up his eyes towards Jun and said, "No. It's actually about him."

Now everyone got shocked. What happened to Minghao that Coups hyung wanted to discuss. Everyone was looking at each other. Did he got injury while practicing today? Then he need hiatus? Everyone started thinking different things that might possibly have happened, while the makhnae couldn't stop himself from asking.

"Hyung, what happened to Minghao hyung?"

After a sigh, Coups looked at all of them and showed the envelope in his hand to everyone.

"It's our medical reports of ABO test. And.....and we've 12 Alphas in our group and 1 Omega. That one Omega is Minghao."

Now that was enough for a pin drop silence and some member's eyes to hit their forehead. It took ten full minutes to finally someone to say something and that was Jun who was in total disbelief, "No way hyung, he ....how he can be an Omega? His heat periods couldn't be..."

Just in between the sentence not only Jun himself but also other members figured out that after turning 20 every month on a certain week Minghao would go back to China for schedules. It'd sometime take him one week, or more than one week. Sometimes Jun also accompanied him but not all the time. And even if he accompanied Minghao both of them would mostly have different schedules and different destinations to go. None of them really paid attention as they thought Minghao was going to do schedules there. But they knew the fact that some days he used to spend in his home in China every month to meet his family, so he was not actually meeting his family rather was hiding his heat period like that.

"No way" that's the only thing that could escape even Jeonghan's mouth who was considered as the most mentally strong member among all of them.

Seung Cheol sighed again and tried to put himself together by saying -

"Minghao hid his identity from all of us. We know how difficult it is to hide your scent and your heat period. I can't imagine how much pain he went through for that. I don't know why he did it but probably he thought we'll consider him weak or because this never happened in any kpop group that only one member is Omega. Probably he was afraid of humiliation, or probably he was simply sad that none from Seventeen was Omega like him, because if there's any he'd definitely notice their hear period too, which he didn't see. The cause might be anything and we might not be able to totally understand him either as Alphas. But whatever it is I don't judge him for that. And I wish none of you all will judge him too. Remember he is bearing a lot of pain already everyday and everymonth to just hide his true identity, so don't give him more pain. He might get badly hurt and totally distance him from us for the rest of our lives."

Everyone nodded with that.

"But what do we do then hyung? I mean how can we 12 Alphas make him comfortable among 12 Alphas so that he can be his true self?" Vernon asked out of curiosity. Vernon is mostly quiet like Wonwoo but when he talks he only talks or asks the right thing.

That's the question everyone was thinking about. It's easy to say please feel free but making someone actually feel free was never an easy job. For so many years Minghao didn't feel comfortable among all of them to be his true self then how suddenly he'd be able to be that even when it's clear that he'd be living with 12 Alphas. Any Omega would be terrified with the thought. And nobody could blame him for this.

Finally after some minutes Seung Cheol came to the rescue again,

"He'll come back and see these reports so there's no need for us to tell him individually. Just don't behave something differently, behave like every other day. He'd be concerned at first about the fact that now we know, but if we behave as normally as possible I'm sure he'll loosen up. Don't overdo anything too. Make him feel comfortable and assured how we always do, now if he wants to open up or not it's totally his choice. We need to respect his decisions too."

Wonwoo was listening to everything and finally asked, "Hyung, did the company say anything?"

"They're concerned too. There're many Alphas there too in the company building, none of them got a hint of his scent either. But now they're even more concerned about saesangs or even company staffs who might be dangerous for him. Though it seemed like his manager had some hint about it, after all he needed someone to plan all those China trips beforehand of his heat period to make sure nobody knows. I kind of made everyone agree that until Minghao is ready they won't release the reports online. If it needed they can say that the reports is not here yet, the hospital needs some more time. I'm sure Carats will understand that. As, once it released it'll be a big deal in kpop too. We might get judged, Minghao might face many bad things and I don't know what else."

Seung Cheol took a breathe after saying everything all together.

"Guys, just remember we need to take care of him more now." Jeonghan declared finally with his assuring voice.

It was almost next to impossible to get back to their normal life after all these revelations, but they had to. Anytime Minghao could return to the dorm and if he found out something had changed when he was away, he'd be more uncomfortable to live here. So as promised, everyone got up from the couch, gathered at the lunch table to have lunch which they postponed because of Coup's discussion. Seungkwan was hesitating to say something, he definitely didn't want to ruin the mood again so he tried to gulp it down. But Joshua's eyes didn't miss it. Joshua had this ability to tell what a person was thinking by just looking at their face. He could clearly figure out Seungkwan was suffering with his thoughts. So he sat beside him and said,

"If you've anything to tell us, just say it, don't think too much."

Seungkwan finally got the assurance he needed, and he looked up

"Hyung remember when Minghao hyung injured his leg during that encore stage and he couldn't participate in the korean concert?"

Everyone nodded. Joshua said "yeah we do remember."

"That night after the concert you all went to a pub to drink while I was too tired so I returned back to the dorm first. And now I can clearly remember after entering I got a very sweet scent that even a child will be able to say that the scent belongs to an Omega. At that moment, I thought Minghao hyung was probably bored so he might have called someone to play games or might have ordered some food and the delivery  man came who might be an Omega. The scent was probably still there. But then suddenly the scent just went away, and I saw Minghao hyung peeking from upstairs, he heard the sound of the door and asked how the concert went. I actually forgot the incident, it didn't seem that important to me either at that point. But now that I'm thinking I feel guilty..."

Jun hugged Seungkwan from behind, "Don't feel guilty, I feel the most guilty here. I mean if someone is supposed to know his true identity it should have been me. I accompanied him even to China but never understood he was in his heat period. He always shares everything to me as I'm the only native friend. But he couldn't share this. I'm such a sh!tty friend."

Suddenly they all heard a car sound, in the parking lot of their dorm. It surely was Minghao. Everyone went back to their seats, some started shoving the food inside their mouth to look normal, some started bickering forcefully, Dino & Seungkwan started fake fighting, so that nothing literally nothing looked different. Minghao should know nothing had changed, nothing would ever change either.
