The hangers in my closet scraped against the metal rod as I looked at each shirt that wasn't good enough.
"Are you ready to party?" Phoebe asked loudly as she walked into my room.
"No, I am not ready because I have nothing to wear,"
"Please be so serious. Your closet is practically bursting at the seams. Move over," she said while softly pushing me aside. She flipped through, making her way over to where I kept my dresses. I watched the smile on her face grow as she pulled out a red dress. I looked it over, remembering how Mason had bought it when we were going to one of his parent's dinners at the country club. The cutout in the abdomen area made it a little scandalous for the occasion, but I felt amazing in it.
"I am not wearing that."
"You are and you will. Go change so I can do your hair."
Groaning, I grabbed the dress from and moved to the bathroom. I changed into the dress, smoothing it out. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. The smile was quick to drop as memories of Mason and I flashed through my mind.
"Willow, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." I blushed as I looked him up and down, taking in his outfit. The black suit was accessorized with a red tie, a perfect match for my dress.
"And you are the love of my life Mason." I stood on my tiptoes, planting a kiss on his lips. "Okay, let's go. I don't want to be late."
The flashback left just as quick as it had come, leaving a couple teardrops in each eye as a parting gift. I dabbed the corners of my eyes, refusing to let the tears fall over something that I had no control over.
Phoebe immediately got to work on my hair, slicking it back into a ponytail and braiding what was left out. I decided on another day of light makeup, not really feeling the need to get glammed up for a party that I didn't care that much about. Plus, it would be dark when we got there so it would be a waste of a perfectly good makeup look.
"How do we feel?" I turned to Bee, allowing her to take in the entirety of my look.
"I'm obsessed with you. You're gorgeous."
Seeing that it was almost 10 at night and the party started at 8, it was most likely about to hit it's peak. Phoebe and I left shortly after we were both done getting ready.
"Who's party is this again?"
"Remember the date that I went on a couple of weeks ago?" I nodded, letting her know that it was okay to go on. "It's his best friend's birthday so their whole friend group is throwing a party. They're nice guys. Maybe..."
"Yeah, nice try," I said, shaking my head and laughing. I was never surprised when Phoebe tried to set me up with somebody. Unfortunately for both of us, I would never take the bait for some reason. "Are you two exclusive now?"
