As Ella watches Zoey and Peter interact, she can't help but feel happy for them. However, a tinge of sadness creeps in as she realizes it has been three long years since she last dated someone. She has been focused on her career, working hard to reach the next level, and hasn't had time to date or wanted to be distracted. On top of that, she carries the pain of a heartbreak. The man she had been in a relationship with for years ended things because she couldn't dedicate enough time to him, only for her to later discover that he was already seeing someone else while they were together.
Zoey notices Ella's emotions and understands her inner struggle. Sensing that her friend needs a distraction, she suggests, "Come on, let's dance." Ella hesitates, fully aware that her friends want to be there for her, but she doesn't want to dampen their night with her own troubles. Instead, she takes Peter's hand and asks him to dance with Zoey. Ella takes a slow sip of her drink, content in watching them as they gracefully move on the dance floor. Their chemistry and elegance are a treat for her eyes, and she finds solace in seeing her friends enjoying themselves.
Zoey interrupts their dance, pulling Ella onto the dance floor with her and Peter. The three of them enjoy moving to the rhythm of the music, lost in the joy of the moment. However, their dance is momentarily interrupted by the sound of Ella's phone ringing. She retrieved her phone from her handbag, glancing at the screen to see her mother's name flashing. Ella leaned in to Zoey, her voice barely audible over the music. "It's my mom," she explained, "I should take this call outside. It's too noisy in here."
Navigating her way through the dancing crowd, Ella made her way towards the exit. As Ella walks outside, she notices whispers rippling through the crowd. A man enters the venue, causing everyone to greet him, but he pays no attention to anyone and walks straight inside. It's George Lee, the CEO of Lee Group of Companies. He exudes an air of stiffness and stands tall, his black wavy hair adding to his masculine appeal. His piercing blue eyes elevate his attractiveness to another level. Ella observes the drama unfolding as she passes by him on her way outside.
Inside, Mr. Smith warmly welcomed George, offering him a drink. "Thank you for coming, George.
"How did the shop opening go, Uncle?" George inquired, taking a sip of his drink.
"It went beyond our expectations," Mr. Smith said. George took another sip of his drink and nodded. "Glad to hear that. You mentioned the designers from EZ Interiors played a significant role in its success. Were they the same ones you recommended to me for my upcoming project?"
Mr. Smith nodded in affirmation. "Indeed, it was EZ Interiors. They exceeded everyone's expectations. Their work is truly exceptional." Mr. Smith scanned the room, searching for someone in particular. His gaze fell upon Zoey, engrossed in conversation with Peter. He gestured for George to join him.
"Ms. Frost," Mr. Smith began, drawing her attention. "I'd like you to meet George. CEO of Lee Groups and the one I was telling you about earlier."
"George, this is Ms. Frost, one among the partner of EZ Interiors" He introduced.
Zoey stood up, extending her hand with a warm smile. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Lee."
As they all exchanged pleasantries, Mr. Smith inquired "Where is Ms. Young?"
"She stepped out to take a call," Zoey replied, her eyes darting towards the entrance. "She should be back any moment now."
Mr. Smith turned to George and spoke highly of Ella. "Ms. Young is a talented and hardworking individual. She has made significant contributions to the success of this project."
Marcus, George's trusted assistant, sensed the urgency of their impending departure. He leaned in, whispering urgently into George's ear, emphasizing the importance of their presence elsewhere. George sighed and nodded in understanding. "I'm afraid I have to go," George announced, extending his hand to Zoey and Peter. "It was a pleasure meeting you all."
