Zoey and Ella emerged from the meeting room, their minds still buzzing with the weight of the discussions. As they made their way towards the restroom, a sense of relief washed over them. The intense meeting was finally over, and they could momentarily breathe.

Zoey, ever the optimist, couldn't help but suggest extending their stay in New York for the weekend. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she proposed the idea of balancing work and leisure. Ella, however, remained steadfast in her concern for the project's timeline.

"We have to dive into work immediately, Zoey," Ella voiced her worries, emphasizing the importance of delivering their best in a limited timeframe.

Undeterred, Zoey pressed on with her persuasive charm. "Come on, Ell! We can work during the day, channeling our creativity in the hotel, and savor the enchanting nights of New York. It'll be a well-deserved break amidst the bustling city."

Caught in Zoey's enthusiasm and unable to resist her friend's persuasive puppy face, Ella found herself wavering. As Zoey joyfully spun around, she playfully thumped Ella's side, causing her to stumble and accidentally collide with George, who had just stepped out of the washroom.

In that split second, George's face contorted with anger, ready to unleash his frustration. However, as his eyes met Ella's, his anger dissipated into a silent pause. Ella, startled by the unexpected encounter, quickly released herself from George's grip and apologized.

"I'm so sorry," Ella stammered, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Without uttering a word, George turned away, his gaze fixed on Ella for a moment longer before striding off, leaving Ella and Zoey standing there, bewildered by the fleeting moment. Zoey, ever the observant one, couldn't help but voice her observations.

"Did you see that, Ell? There was something in his eyes, a spark of interest," Zoey whispered, her tone filled with intrigue.

Ella, feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration, urged Zoey to continue into the restroom. "Zoey, you really need to stop being so playful. I've heard he can be rude and arrogant."

Zoey, denying Ella's assumptions, said with a smirk, "I don't think so, Ell. Did you see how he looked at you? There might be more to him than meets the eye."

In frustration, Ella replied, "Zoey, you and your wild imaginations. Let's just focus on our work." She then proceeded into the restroom, leaving Zoey to ponder the mysterious encounter between Ella and George.

They head directly to the after-meeting party area, where everyone is enjoying their food, drinks, and some are even dancing. Ella's sharp eyes caught sight of Mr. Jordan in the distance, suggesting Zoey that they leave and find another place for lunch. Zoey agrees, thinking it's a nice idea. Just when they are about to leave, Marcus, who has been searching for them, notices and calls out to Ms. Young. Zoey and Ella stop in their tracks, puzzled, as Marcus approaches them. He rushes and says, "I've been searching for you both." They ask why, and Marcus responds, "The CEO wants to meet you." Zoey asks if he means Mr. George Lee, and Marcus confirms it, urging them to come with him. Zoey and Ella exchanged concerned glances but decided to follow Marcus, their minds filled with questions about the purpose of this unexpected meeting.

They enter the CEO's cabin, which is spacious and impeccably designed. George sat there, having removed his coat, and looked remarkably sharp in his vest as he pored over files on his desk. Marcus announced their arrival, and George motioned for them to take a seat. With a stern and rigid demeanor, George began to speak slowly.

"We invited you here solely because my uncle requested it. He rarely asks for anything, and I couldn't refuse him. However, I must emphasize how significant this project is. It's a massive undertaking for a budding company like yours."

Ella, unwilling to remain silent, let her voice fill the room with conviction. Her words carried a strong sense of belief and confidence. She spoke directly to George, her gaze unwavering.

"While we may still be in the early stages," she began, her voice steady, "I assure you that no one can match the caliber of our designs. Our creativity and vision speak for themselves. We have poured our hearts and souls into our work, and we are determined to exceed your expectations. It's not about recommendations or reputation; it's about the quality and innovation that we bring to the table."

George chuckles lightly at Ella's statement, seemingly dismissing her assertion. Zoey becomes annoyed and is about to say something, but Ella places a calming hand on her thigh, signaling her to stay composed. Remaining composed, Ella continues, "It's not as if you have already witnessed the outcome of our work. It's best to reserve judgment until you have experienced our capabilities firsthand."

George ended the conversation with a sharp remark, his voice laced with a tinge of superiority. "I just thought of reminding you guys that there is still time to withdraw, allowing you to work on something more up to your level. You both may leave now."

Zoey and Ella feel insulted by George's comment and demeanor. They both stand up and Zoey says, "We appreciate the opportunity you have given us, but we are confident in our abilities to deliver the best designs for this project." Ella adds, "And we will not withdraw. We will work hard to meet your expectations." George nods and replies, "I see. Well, good luck then."

Zoey, infuriated by his rudeness, and Ella, annoyed at his lack of respect, thanked George with a curt nod and turned to leave the room. They walked away, leaving George in his office, his eyes following their departure, a flicker of intrigue mixed with skepticism in his gaze.
