As the night enveloped the bustling city of New York, Ella's phone resonated with a melodic ringtone, drawing her attention away from the awe-inspiring view outside the panoramic window. Standing by the glass, she marveled at the twinkling city lights that adorned the skyline. Hastily grasping her phone, she noticed the caller ID displaying the name "Marcus." Composing herself with professional grace, she swiftly answered the call, extending a courteous greeting, "Hello, Marcus." On the other end of the line, Marcus reciprocated the formal tone, addressing her respectfully as "Ms. Young."

Engaging in a concise conversation, he inquired about the journey, seeking assurance that all was proceeding smoothly. Ella, embodying professionalism, replied promptly, "Yes, it has been wonderful. We arrived at the hotel just a short while ago."

Marcus proceeded to convey the plan for the following day, ensuring that transportation in the form of a designated car would be at their disposal at precisely 9 o'clock, conveying them to the company's office for the pivotal meeting. Acknowledging the details with attentive composure, Ella affirmed their commitment to punctuality, conveying gratitude in her measured tone, "Thank you for the arrangements. We will ensure our timely arrival." Concluding the call on a courteous note.

Shortly after settling into their luxurious suite, Zoey and Ella received a courteous reminder call from the hotel's reception, notifying them about the special dinner arranged for the attending designers. Eagerly, they prepared themselves for the event and made their way to the designated area. As they entered, they were greeted by a dimly lit venue, exuding an aura of modern elegance. The tables were meticulously arranged, creating an atmosphere of sophistication.

To their surprise, they found themselves surrounded by distinguished individuals from prominent design firms, all well-known within the field. Ella's face revealed a hint of worry, realizing that they were the only budding designers invited to such an esteemed gathering. Sensing her unease, Zoey gently patted her back, offering words of encouragement. "We've got this," she assured Ella, leading them to the table reserved for them.

Seated opposite Ella was a handsome man with black hair, dressed impeccably in a blue shirt and grey pants. His assistant sat beside him. The man couldn't help but steal a quick glance at Ella, captivated by her undeniable charm and beauty. Ella noticed his gaze and grew self-conscious, causing the man to avert his eyes. Leaning towards Zoey, Ella whispered, "The guy behind me keeps staring at me." Zoey, feigning an innocent act of retrieving something from the ground, took a quick glance and replied, "He looks really good. You should go talk to him." Ella shook her head, dismissing the idea. "That's not happening," she said firmly.

Zoey, determined to play matchmaker, persisted, "Come on, Ell! Maybe it's time, and he clearly seems interested in you." However, Ella, not in the mood for romantic endeavors, insisted that they eat soon and leave the situation behind.

Unable to resist his growing curiosity, the man, Mike Jordan, patiently waited until Zoey and Ella finished their meal. With his assistant, Kate, by his side, he approached their table and politely excused himself, directing his gaze toward Ella. "Hi, myself is Mike Jordan, Senior Designer in Elite Interiors from Los Angeles," he introduced himself. "This is my assistant, Kate." Zoey promptly stood up, extending her hand to shake his, and introduced herself. "I'm Zoey, and this is my friend and partner in crime, Ella, we are from EZ Interiors in Springfield." Mike took Ella's hand, giving it a gentle shake, and inquired if this was their first time attending such an event since he hadn't seen them before. Ella nodded, confirming, "Yes, this is our first invitation."

Mike then extended a gracious invitation for dinner after the meeting the following day. Zoey, ever the matchmaker, eagerly interjected, "Sure, we would love to." Ella, caught off guard by Zoey's spontaneity, mustered a forced smile and nodded in agreement. Mike signaled to his assistant for a business card, which Kate promptly handed over, bidding farewell before leaving the table.

Once Mike was out of earshot, Ella tapped Zoey's hand on the table, expressing her disbelief. Zoey shrugged and whispered, "What are you doing? He's so decent, inviting both of us for dinner. It's not like you're going alone. Like I said, maybe it's time." Ella rolled her eyes, unable to muster a response. They both left the table, heading back to their room.
