Skylar's pov:
I woke up with Jasmine in my arms. My chest pressed up against her back, my arm resting on her waist, fingers touching. The room was dark..No light creeped in. I took a breath before deciding to get up and away from the warmth she held. I kissed her forehead and left the room. I walked down the stairs and into the nearest kitchen. "Ciao signora.." One of the maids said as she smiled.
"Ciao.." I said with a smile. I saw a basket of fruits and decided to make fruit salads. Jasmine likes those. I got all the fruits I needed, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, mango, not bananas—she hates those. To be honest I hate them too, but I can tolerate them. I cut them up (the ones I could) and put them in a bowl. I mixed them up so they looked random and walked up the stairs again to the brunette I left in my dark room.
As I stepped inside I noticed that it was still dark and she still hadn't woken up. It's Saturday. Me and her both have school work to catch up on since we decided to skip school on Friday.
I put the bowls down, one on her nightstand and one on mine, and walked over to my set of french doors. I removed the curtains to let the sunlight creep in and opened the doors as well. I looked back and saw her turn in her sleep. I rolled my eyes and walked to her. "Baby...wake up.." I said shaking her gently. "Mm, 5 more minutes mom.." She groaned as she hid under the covers.
Mom? The fuck?
I removed the covers from her body and she kicked her feet. "Dudeeee! Let me sleep!" She complained as she crawled to my side of the bed. "Get up. We have a whole day ahead of us." I said completely removing the covers.
She whined and cried and kicked and groaned. "But I wanna sleep!" She whined again, like a baby. "I wanna sleep too, but we have things to do." I said as I carried her, against her will, bridal style. "Sky...put me down!" She said kicking. "Will you wake up?" I asked as I carried her standing still. "Yes. Yes I'll wake up." She said nodding. Her eyes now fully opened.
"Okay." I said plopping her down on the bed. She sat up and glared at me. "I made you a fruit bowl." I smiled. "Fruits!" She smiled. She grabbed the bowl and kissed my hand. "Thank you baby.." She whispered. "Anything for my favorite lady." I winked.
"So, we need to stop skipping school like this." She smiled. "Yeah, but I can't help it. I love being with you and just skipping school." I said as I planted a kiss on her lips. They tasted fruity, obviously, but the one that stuck out to me the most was strawberries. Her lips tasted mostly like strawberries. "Do you have a laptop I can use?" She asked as she pulled away.
"Mhm, use mine.." I said leaning back. "Okay.." She said as she placed a piece of mango in her mouth. We ate breakfast together and made jokes. "Ugh, Angelo's calling." She rolled her eyes. "Answer." I said gesturing her to the phone.
She picked up the call and put him on speaker. "Jasmine why the fuck don't you ever tell me when you're not coming home?!" He yelled through the speaker. "Good morning to you too." She smiled. "Yeah, good morning whatever. Are you still at Skylar's house?" He asks over the phone. "Yes, I'm still at Skylar's house." She said rolling her eyes.
"When do you plan on coming back home?" He asked. I hope never. I want her to stay here. "Don't know." She answered dryly. "Jasmine. I know you're mad at me but I'm still responsible for your safety." He said trying to reason with her.
He's not wrong, he is responsible for her. "He is responsible for you.." I said plopping a blackberry in my mouth. "Is that Skylar?" He asked. "No, it's our neighbor." She rolled her eyes. "Skylar please teach Jasmine to control her attitude." He growled. "Oh, don't worry. I will." I smirked. Her eyes widened as her cheeks reddened. "Uhm, gotta go do...school work? BYE ANGELO!" She said as she hung up ignoring Angelo's protests.
