Yeonjun pov
I was walking home from the store. I went there to buy instant ramen since I moved out of my parents' house and I have nobody to cook for me and I'm too lazy.
As I was getting closer to the brigde I had to pass,on the edge of the bridge, there was a boy. I couldn't see his face clearly but I could tell he was really stunning. Was he trying to kill himself? I didn't really want to intervene but I couldn't just let the poor boy die.
I slowly got closer to the edge. When I was close enough to him,I patted his back. When he turned around,I could see everything.
His eyes were empty, even tho he looked really scared, like a deer you find in the woods. You can see the fear and lonelyness in his beautiful eyes. Poor boy. I really wish I could help him.
"Please don't touch me!" He said, scared, like I was going to kill him. "Don't worry I won't harm you. I promise." I said trying to look friendly.
"I just want you to get down,so we can talk a little bit, okay? I'm not a bad guy and I'm just trying to help you." "I don't want no help! Everyone tried to help me,but they were just using me! Fuck you!" "Buddy, calm down, okay? I don't know you so I can't use you. Please let me help you. You don't want that pretty face to go to waste,do you?"
We talked a little bit more, until I finally convinced him to get down. "Hey,let's go on a walk to clear your mind a little bit,and then we'll talk ok? What's your name?" "Soobin..." "I'm Yeonjun." I said and I gave him a warm smile to make him feel more comfortable.
I saw him quietly sobbing next to me. I decided to try and hold his hand. I want him to know that I'm here for him. He flinched at first, but then he let his guard down and let me feel his warmth.
We continued walking, our hands still intertwined, as we made our way through the quiet streets. Soobin's pain was palpable, his words resonating in the stillness of the night. I listened attentively, offering him a safe space to pour out his emotions.
"It's hard for me to trust anyone," Soobin finally confessed, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "I've been let down so many times. Friends, family... they all turned their backs on me. My parents are abusive and my 'friends' think I'm useless. I feel so alone."
I squeezed his hand gently, my silent reassurance that I was there for him. "Soobin, I can't erase the pain you've experienced, but I can promise you that you're not alone anymore. I want to be here for you, to support you through this."
Soobin's eyes welled up with tears, and he leaned into my shoulder, finding comfort in my presence. We stood there for a while, holding each other in silence, the weight of his burden shared between us.
In that moment, I made a silent vow to be a constant in Soobin's life, a source of strength and understanding. We had just met, but our connection felt deeper than time could measure.
As the night grew darker, we found ourselves outside my apartment. I turned to Soobin and asked, "Do you want to come in? You don't have to face this alone tonight."
Soobin hesitated for a moment, his gaze shifting between me and the door. With a nod, he finally spoke, his voice laced with gratitude, "I'd like that..."
Together, we entered the warmth of my apartment, leaving the coldness of the world outside behind. I hope he feels safe in here,I hope he feels like home.
"Soobin..." We were sitting on the couch watching tv. I decided to break the tensioned and uncomfortable slience. "Yes?..." He slowly looked at me. I admired his eyes ,multiple times tonight, but it seems like I just couldn't get enough of it.
