Day 2

Qasim

He had seen the look on Rukhsars face when Mahnur bhabi had started speaking .
She had mumbled an excuse me and rushed out.

He didn't like her hurt at all.
It had made him want to protect her .

Once she had rushed out Qasim spoke up,
"Bhabi , agar aap kych acha nahi bol sakti tou utna bura bhi bolnay ki zaroorat nahi hai." He said his hands clenching under the table.

"Bura?" Mahnur scoffed
"Sach bola hai meine Qasim." She said ,
He clenched his jaw remembering that this was his elder brothers wife ,
But he couldn't let her get away with treating Rukhsar the way that she had.
His mother beat him to it.

"Mahnur, sach sab bol saktay hain, aur shayad kych sach sunnay ki tum mein bhi bradasht naa ho, tou bheter hai apnay lafz par ghour karo" his mother said sternly,

"Circumstances jo bhi ho , Rukhsar Qasim ki biwi hai aur Saima ki marzi se yeh shaadi hui hai, tou bheter hai k tum yeh hee sach yaad rakho" she said ,

Rizwan bhai spoke aswell,
"Hardafa aisi baatein uthanay ki zarurat nahi hoti Mahnur , jagga tou insaan dekhta hai" he said ,

Mahnur bhabi looked absolutely stunned .

"Aap sab uss larki ki wajha se mujhe itna kuch sunaa rahay hain?!" She exclaimed ,
"Mujhe?!" She said , getting up furiously from the table and leaving.

"Rehan samjhao ussay" his mother said and his brother groaned ,
"Ammi meri baat uss se nahi samjh aanay wali." He said ;

Qasim got up and headed to his room to check on Rukhsar.

He opened the door softly he could hear her sniffling.
He sighed , with Saima he knew exactly how to make her feel better with Rukhsar though he felt at a loss , they had been married for 2 months now , but they had barely spoken to eachother cordially.

Taking a deep breath he spoke ,
"Tumhara naashta meine yaha mungwa liya hai."
She had turned to him her tear stained face , a small frown on her lips ,
An urge to hug her and press a kiss to that frown away toom him by surprise. He cleared his throat, looking away.

"Kyun?" She asked ,

"Kyun k tum ne khatum nahi kiya tha" he shrugged ,

And then she asked him why was he being considerate , he he realised he hadn't really been considerate to her in the past 2 months .

So he told her the truth.

"You are my wife"

She stare at him, as those words came out of his mouth.

She didn't trust men.

She couldn't believe him, but the way her heart stuttered at his words showed how much she wanted to believe him .

She looked away, as her face heated up.
And the silence that followed was awkward to say the least.
She looked up and he wasnt there.

He had called Rukhsar his wife .
His wife.

He sighed closing his eyes feeling like he was choking .

He pressed his fingers into his eyes .

He picked up his phone and called her .
