By the time they were ready to leave Rukhsar bit her lip , unsure of what she was going to ask him.
"Koi baat hai?" He asked .
"I need to get a dress for the baraat , I dont have one." She told him,
They were having a shendi , which meant it was a baraat and mehndi combined .
He nodded ,
"Chulo I'll take you" he said .
He took her to a designer instead of a mall.
Saima was obsessed with this designer , all her sarrees were from her .
Rukhsar didn't make a move to leave the car.
"What? Whats wrong?" He asked ,
She shook her head,
"I can't afford this Qasim" she told him ,
He frowned .
"What do you mean?" He asked ,
"This is one of the most expensive brands in Pakistan!I was hoping we could go to a mall and I could get something off the shelf." She said ,
Realisation struck him.
"Rukhsar" he said softly turning towards her ,
"I'm buying you something , so relax okay , I can afford this ." She was about to argue but he cut her off.
"Don't argue okay, just get something anything you like." He told her .
She nodded still not entirely comfortable with the thought.
"Just get anything okay" he told her handing her his card .
"Im going to get somethings for Inaya and Saima , you get whatever you want." He told her and she nodded unsure .
He got khussas for Inaya , his daughter was obsessed with them and a diamond bracelet for Saima.
His phone didn't ping with any notification indicating that Rukhsar had bought something.
But he got a message that she was ready.
When he headed to his car she was already waiting outside.
"You didn't get anything from my card?" He asked her ,
She shook her head.
"I found something in my budget." She said , and he felt disappointed.
"You know you have a right on my money right?" He asked her,
She sighed not meeting his eyes .
"It just doesn't feel right." She told him not making eyecontact.
He didn't say anything .
"Chalein?" He asked ,
She nodded .

By the time they returned from their day out it was almost 4.
"I'm going start getting ready." Rukhsar yawned and he smiled ,
"Im going to go talk with ammi" he told her , she nodded .
He headed up to where his mother was staying,
"Amma can I come in?" He asked knocking.
"Ajao" his mother called ,
She was sitting on the bed with his nephew sleeping next to her .
