Guilty.That was how Nam-ra felt.
She felt guilty.
But most of all, she was terrified.
And for many reasons.
She was terrified of turning into one of those creatures.
She was terrified of attacking her classmates.
And she was even more terrified of losing Yuna.
Because despite everything, Nam-ra knew that Yuna was her friend. They had a complicated relationship. To tell the truth, it was quite predictable considering their two opposite personalities.
Nam-ra was ice and Yuna was an explosive ball of fire.
Two unlikely elements to unite.
And yet...
Unfortunately, Nam-ra was logical.
And she didn't need to hear it from Yuna to know that she was facing a similar situation to hers.
Jang Tae-min had spoken the truth earlier. And while it warmed Nam-ra's cold heart, she also felt guilty for finding herself in such a situation. If she hadn't been so close to Yuna then she wouldn't have followed her. And if she hadn't followed her, they wouldn't feel so helpless.
It was a never-ending cycle.
Nam-ra could spend hours on it.
Every thought brought her back to that famous moment when Gwi-Nam had bitten her.
Nam-ra swallowed at the thought before lowering her eyes to the red knot binding her to the boy at her side. She gave a brief glance at his profile in curiosity before lowering her eyes again at the sight of his dark expression so contrary to his sunny personality.
She held back a sigh as she risked a glance over her shoulder.
The sight of the group gathered a little further away was enough to remind her how much she had always been excluded. Even in an apocalypse, she always ended up finding a way to isolate herself.
However, she had become accustomed to having Yuna by her side.
No matter how many times she felt alone, for as long as she could remember, Yuna had always been there.
Now that she thought about it more seriously, she and Yuna had been classmates since middle school.
Even when they had been separated during this apocalypse, they had ended up together.
A feeling of sadness grew in her chest as she searched for Yuna among the group.
However, it wasn't long before she realized that she had to isolate herself as well.
