"Okay Shivaay...Let's go! HURRY!" Ansh ran in to the car, the moment he parked it.
"Err Hey...Where is your Mom? Shouldn't we tell her? She'd be upset won't she?" Shiv hesitated, looking around to get a glimpse of Annika,
"She's not here...why would she be worried?" Ansh shrugged.
"Oh...So...Where is she? She leaves you alone?" His eyes widened in disbelief. The woman looked so desperately attached to this little blue eyed boy, it was impossible for him to imagine that she in fact had a life away from him.
"Hey she never leaves me alone...Today was an exception...She...She had to..." Ansh bit his lower lip and looked down at his feet. Shiv noticed his lace was undone, and reached out to tie it for him when Ansh stopped him.
"It's okay Shivaay...I can do it myself..." Shiv sighed looking at him struggle trying to make the perfect rabbit ear loops, mumbling a rhyme obviously his mother taught him.
"Err...You know that it's okay to ask for help..." He raised an eyebrow, and little Ansh looked back up tying his lace half way through, still a long piece hanging out loose.
" I know! That's why I am asking for help!" He beamed.
"Help for?" Shiv raised an eyebrow, suspiciously wondering what he was getting himself into.
"To save Momma!"
"Err Ansh? Is your Mom okay? Is she in some kind of trouble?" A few lines of worry drew across his forehead.
"Well...She can be...I don't trust him one bit!" He narrowed his eyes, frowning, and crossed his hands.
"Don't trust whom now?"
" Vicky...I don't trust him...and Momma is only stuck with him because of her scary Papa...I hope my dad, is not a grouch like him! Pfft!"
"Err...A grouch? That I am sure he's not buddy....At least not yet...But...You mean your mother is with Vikram...Her Fiancé'? And what do you need my help for exactly...?"
"Oh Shivaay...I need you to snatch her away right under his nose...Just like superman! SWOOOSH!" He made a flying motion with his hands.
"Huh? Err...Ansh...Are you seriously asking me help to sabotage your mothers dinner date? This is not right...Wait I am going to call your mom...HEY! WAIT! Ansh...Give me my phone back!"
Ansh snatched the phone and ran out of the car. Shiv chased behind him. Toppling on his loose laces, the skinny little boy, fell fat on his face.
"ANSH!" A panicked stricken Shiv, knelt beside him patting him down.
"Son...are you okay? Ansh?" He worried, when Ansh looked up, and adjusted his crooked spectacles in place. He gave Shiv a wide smile ear to ear.
"Shoot! You broke a tooth! DAMN IT! She'll kill me for sure...You...YOU are going to be the death of me!" Shiv scrutinised Ansh's mouth for anymore damage, and flipped his face to left and right. Ansh giggled gleefully poking at his broken tooth.
"COOOOOOL.....A broken tooth! I've always wanted one!"
"You call this cool? Look at you! You look like a...a...a CHIPMUNK!"
"A super cool mean chipmunk!" He scoffed and raked his fingers through his stubborn hair. Shiv stood by looking at little Ansh for a moment, and burst out laughing.
"You...You are a funny guy! I've never seen anyone been this happy about a broken tooth!"
"Meh...No time to cry over a broken tooth Shivaay...HURRY...Now they must be having their mains already..." He hurried back to the car, confiscating his mobile phone.
