Series 3 Rewrite with a Baby

Chapter 2: Going to see Sarah Jane

I am writing this just after publishing the second part so I haven't read any comments yet so I haven't made any changes. Again I ask that you tell me if I am doing anything wrong and I know that the story's name is awful, if you have an idea please comment and tell me.
The doctor stood in the TARDIS with little Petra in a sling, as he attached a seatbelt to the crib in the console room to stop Petra from flying across the room the next time that the TARDIS sends everyone flying.
Poor little Petra, she keeps crying for her Mummy with no idea that Rose just can't come back.
The TARDIS whisper in the Doctors reminding him that they, (him and Rose) had promised Sarah Jane that they would visit her when the baby was born. Petra was most definitely born and was nearly 5 months old, he should have probably follow up on that promise.
To be fair to the Doctor, it had been a difficult few months, he had lost the love of his very long life. It had been enough to look after Petra, but he had to. It had been impossible to sleep for the past few month, because every time he closed his eyes he saw rose hurtling towards the void but this time Peat didn't come back and Rose fell into the void. Yes, because of his superior biology he didn't need as much sleep as a human but he couldn't go nearly 2 months without any sleep.
Soon he would have to go back to saving the world but not today, today he would visit his friend.
"Come on Petra," he said "we're going to go and visit an old friend of Daddy's, now she might not be your Mummy but she is a very nice lady." Petra looked up at him very cutely in a fluffy bunny onesie, clearly confused as to what her dad was jabbering on about.
The Doctor flipped a few switches, and turned a few knobs, and pressed a few buttons, before pulling a lever and they landed.
"You are going to love her, Petra I'm sure of it."
The Doctor picked his daughter up and they left the TARDIS.
Meanwhile, Sarah Jane was at home writing up and article. Then she heard a very familiar whooshing sounds and a thunk as the TARDIS landed in her back garden. He going to have squashed the flowers she thought.
Then she got off of her sofa and made her way outside, sure enough the TARDIS had landed on her flowers.
What she didn't expect to see was the, Doctor looking absolutely exhausted, completely miserable, and carrying a whimpering baby dressed as a rabbit.
"Hello, Sarah Jane," he said before he collapsed in a heap on the floor. Petra started crying loudly so Sara Jane reached down and picked her up and rocked her.
Petra stoped screaming but continued to whimper. "I wonder what is wrong with your Daddy, do you know where your Mummy is sweetheart? Should I help your Daddy up, I should. Okay hear we go." She said to the baby before popping the baby down on the grass and grabbing the unconscious Time Lord's shoulders and dragging him inside, he was much heavier then you would expect from such a skinny man.
After dumping him on the sofa she went back outside to pick up the baby. By the time that she got back to the living room with the baby the Doctor was awake and clearly confused about why he was in a living room on a sofa.
"You fainted" Sarah Jane informed him
"Time Lords don't faint, superior biology."
"Passed out then," she placated him "Where's Rose?"
"I lost her," he said, his voice suddenly thick and sad.
"What do you mean lost?"
"You remember when the cybermen invaded," she nodded "Well we stoped it. We where there, at Canary Warf, with Torchwood."
He spat out the word Torchwood as if it where poison "What most people don't know about the Cyberman invasion is that it was the fault of Torchwood being careless with the void.
So the Cybermen came through, but so did a void ship which contained 4 Daleks and the Genesis ark, well things happened and the Genesis ark turned out to be a Dalek prison ship.
The only way to get rid of the Cybermen and Daleks was to open the void and get them sucked in, because they where all covers in void stuff. Well we were all covered in void stuff to so we had to send Pete, and Micky back to Pete's world and Rose forced Jackie to go with Pete.
We attached the Magna clamps to the wall and pulled the levers and sent all the Cybermen and Daleks into the void. Rose couldn't hold on and almost fell into the void, luckily Pete came back to check on her and caught her and took her into his world.
So Rose is stuck in a parallel universe and I can never see her again, and she's pregnant again and I am never going to be able to see her again or my unborn child." The Doctor finished, his voice thick and tears threatening to fall.

To say that Sarah Jane was surprised would be an understatement. She had just been told that her best friend had lost his wife in one of the harshest ways, and had to try and cope with saving the world and looking after a young baby.
"Well, I think you need some time without having to look after a baby. Leave her with me for a bit and go and into London and go to a museum or something. It might help, what's her name." Sarah Jane told him
"Petra, and I probably shouldn't,"
"Go, have some fun. You deserve it."
"Fine. Okay I'll go to a museum, see you in an hour."
The Doctor was just coming out of a museum when he saw Plasma Coils around the Royal Hope Hospital. He made his way to a phone box and called Sarah Jane to tell her that something was up with the Royal Hope and that he would be back in a few days time to pick up Petra.

That's the 3rd chapter done, I hope you like it. I know it wasn't very good, also I don't know much about Sarah Jane so if she is out of character, please forgive me you will also have to forgive the geography of London, I am a Brit but I haven't been to London much sorry.
