I open my eyes, and am nearly blinded by the bright lights that shine into them. I groan, alerting those around me that I'm awake. Immediately, I'm surrounded by a large group of people, worried faces fighting to be in my vision.
I smile weakly, and say, "It's good to be up."
Instantly, everyone around me burst into grins.
"I'm so glad you're awake! You've been out for two weeks!"
"Nicky! I though you were dead!"
"Don't worry, your mom's on her way."
"We took in that kitten you saved; we named her Midnight."
"I took care of your job; you don't have to worry."
They all chattered, ignoring me as I try to get their attention. All attempts futile, I simply give up and wait for their silence.
After about five minutes, they fall quiet.
"I'm sorry but can someone explain how I got here? While you're at it, can you also tell me who you are?"
