The cat and I go flying forward. I don't understand what happened. Pain blooms from my back, spreading through my whole body. I only have just enough coherency to turn before landing so that I don't crush the cat. My head collides with a rock, causing more pain. My vision is fuzzy. I think I hear nearby screams.
I'm picked up and am now moving.
I want to ask where I'm going, but I can't move my mouth.
It's hard to think.
Black is creeping up the edges of my vision.
I want to stay, but I can't. I'm being pulled into another world, another dimension. I have to, so I leave. I leave and fall into the blackness of the abyss.
