Y/N's POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ching. ching. ching. "Okay, that'll be.... $4 and 30 cents." The cashier said, glumly looking at me. She looked as if she would rather be in prison. She also looked like she took drugs, so maybe she would get what she wanted, and go to prison.
I pulled a $5 bill out of my purse, and handed it to the lady. She grabbed part of my finger tips in the process of receiving the money, and I could see dirt under her long, unmaintained nails. That'll be me in a couple days. I sighed, wondering if I made the right decision.
She handed me back my change, 70 cents. Once again, grazing my hand with her fingers. I shuttered in disgust. " thanks.." I mumbled. I opened my hand bag, and put my change in. When I put my change in, I saw hand sanitizer. I quickly grabbed it, and put a huge glob of it on my hands, rubbing it in. I immediately stopped after I heard the cashier lady's voice.
"Hey! Little girl!" She spoke out, a little harsh. I turned around, seeing if she was talking to me. If she was, she was about to have some problems. When I saw she was looking at me, I scoffed. "What?" I asked disrespectfully. This girl was not about to talk to me like that, and get away with it. Nu-uh. No way.
"Why are you buying a baseball glove, and a baseball?" She asked, as if it weren't obvious. "Oh! To go clean the kitchen" I said sarcastically. As I was heading out, not wanting to get into a fight, I heard something that ticked me off.
"Good, cause' that's where a young lady like you belongs."
My eye twitched. This lady really wanted to piss me off today. I turned back around, and stormed to the cashiers desk. "Actually, I was being sarcastic, and, if you must know, I'm on my way to go play some baseball. If you were to use your brain, you wouldn't have to ask me 'why I'm buying a baseball, and baseball glove'. Though, I don't blame you. All those drugs probably went to your brain already, assuming you've been doing them for years. You sure look like you've been. So, back off pot-breath". I said storming out.
As I was walking out, I decided I wanted to say one last thing to her. I turned around, and went right back into the store. The bell chimed when I opened the door. I went all the way to the back of the store to go see that lady again. People stared my way, whispering things that I couldn't hear. Quite frankly, I would like to keep it that way.
I walked right up to the cashier's desk, and saw the lady, feet up on the desk, and magazine in hand. I tapped on her desk in front of her to get her attention. She looked up, and rolled her eyes. "Get out. I don't want to have to deal with an arrogant piece of trash like you. I'm going to kick you out if you don't get out of my face." She said with a shit-eating grin. I just smirked back, head held up high. I cracked my knuckles and began to speak.
"Kick me out? Oh honey, I'm going to kick your ass."
"Ma'am, you're going to have to leave" a boy said to me. He looked around my age. I looked at him with a death glare, and he looked scared for a second. Then went back to his confident persona. "Make me" I said, realizing I was acting like a 5 year old. He raised an eyebrow, then shrugged. "Okay". Before I could question what he was doing, he picked me up.
"Hey! Put me down!" I yelled at him, trying to break free from his grasp. He just stayed silent. He finally reached the door, and he put me down on my feet on the concrete outside. "And stay out" he said to me, pointing his finger with a slight smile. Then, he went back into the store.
I huffed, and started making my way back home. As I was walking down my street, some kids teased me about wanting to play baseball. They told me I was a girl, and I should be at home cleaning the house. I had to force myself not to go out and slap them. When I say forced, I mean i did go slap them, but i almost restrained myself.
