The Alphas Warrior in Training

Chapter two: Announcement

"Good evening everyone! There are two things I would like to inform you on. The first being that the Allied packs have decided to change things up a little bit this year regarding mating season. The second thing being that we are also changing things up a little bit with training. This has been in the works for quite some time now. All new training warriors for all the packs will go to one central location. This we be similar to school you will have a room stay and a training schedule and will be able to work with multiple different trainers to help better prepare you for your role as a warrior as well as further you training to things you may not have seen yet. All new trainees will be required to go as well as all non-mated people who are in leadership roles or are a warrior as well. At the end of training all un-mated members from all packs will get together in one central location so that hopefully you can find your mate faster. All the information for this will be sent out to the ones required to go which will include what to expect and what is expected from all of you going the training school. That is all for today. We all bow our heads as a sign of respect as he walks away. I look at my family. "Oh, this is amazing! All three of you are going to get to go! Isn't this exciting!" my mom gushes she is small women just like me but don't mistake her size she can take down my dad if she wants to.

Me and Grayson groan but Boston on the other had smiles. "Oh, come on you two this is going to be fun." Boston says I look at him and tilt my head. "easy for you to say you have had at least a little bit of experience as a warrior whereas I have none." He just shakes his head at me.

As we head home, I think about mating season. This is an exciting time for those of us who have not found our mate yet. A mate is a wolfs other half, that person completes you in every way. You can find your mate any time after you turn 18 but if your mate is not in your own make you typically have to wait for mating season which is where the unmated males travel to all of the allied packs to see if they meet their mate. As I am thinking about that my wolf perks up at the mention of mate but settles back down quickly.

When we get home, mom starts to prepare dinner while everyone splits off to do their own thing and I head to my room to shower and get ready for a night in. I turn on my favorite tv show and settle down to watch until dinner is ready, but I can't even pay attention to it because my mind turns to what the Alpha said. I keep wondering what this training school will be like and then shortly after I will meet my mate.

I am not ready to meet him whoever he is because I know since I haven't met him yet that he is in a different pack and I am not ready to give up this life I am building. In our would the female is the one who moves to the males. I do not know why this is and it would be okay if I met him before I started training here at home. I am worried I will fail. I am always worried about that. Before I can get too far into myself doubt I hear a knock on my bedroom door.

"Come in" I call out and it is Boston who walks in. "Hey Addie, what do you think about the new training school idea?" Boston asks. I tilt my head wondering why he was asking this.

In reply I say, "honestly I am not sure how I feel. I'm nervous I will fail but other than that I think I'm okay with it." He looks at me with a serious face before replying, "Addie, listen to me because I am only going to say this once okay." I nod waiting for him to continue.

He studies my face for a second and whatever he sees must convince him to continue because he adds, "You will do fine Addie. I have spoken to Derek and your group leader and everything has been positive they have even been talking about pairing you up with someone stronger but the only way to do that would be to put you against someone who has already went through training. You are strong and capable at anything you put your mind to. And you are not going to be alone me and Grayson will be there and so will Becca. So, keep your head held high and don't let you mind stop you from being amazing."
