Leon and Tosiek were laying on Tosiek's bed, casually doing their homework.
"this is exhausting!" Leon complained, flinging his biology book across the room. Tosiek observed it for a minute, then turned to look at Leon.
"you know that even if you throw it away you still have to finish it." he pointed out.
Leon groaned. "I literally hate this so much."
Tosiek laughed, and set aside his homework.
"let's go out." he suggested.
Leon grinned.
they snuck out the door and started racing down the street, like their hearts were on fire and only the wind could put it out. they danced in the middle of the road, enjoying the risk but not tempting fate. Tosiek couldn't stop thinking about how this was the perfect night, and that he would spend forever with Leon, just doing nonsense and living their lives like vagabonds, breathing in life like it was more than just oxygen. like it was fantasia, the final note of a moving symphony that never lost it's sparkle. that's how it was with Leon. he always made things exciting. maybe things weren't perfect, but he knew that at some point they could be. they had potential. sure, Tosiek's problem weren't over, he still struggled everyday with people misgendering him and being just pain horrible because they wanted to, but he no longer let it bother him so much that it would affect his entire day. he knew that he could handle this, and he was glad to have Leon by his side, dancing and laughing and being seventeen.
