Unexpected

Chapter 3

The next day was their appointment as the car ride to the clinic was radio silent as they literally said nothing. By the way that they look completely nervous, Kyla looks at the passenger's window while Joshua's focused on the road, but then they finally arrive & he stops the car & asks, "you nervous?" All she could do was look at him & nods her head while looking down before getting her hand grabbed by her boyfriend in the process

"I'm not going anywhere baby" "I'm not too worried about that" "Then what is it that you're worried about?" "If we're ready for this" "We'll know for certain soon" "But how soon though?" "I can't answer that" "Kinda figured that" "But anyway, let's go in, shall we?"

Kyla then nods her head as they both get out of the car & head inside, leading to see what they'll be seeing : mostly expecting mothers & mothers who have toddlers. Well, A really fits where the expecting couple is literally getting themselves into, however, Joshua is keeping his word to her, which isn't a huge lie whatsoever.

They get signed up & sit down as they're mostly being stared at, but then one teen is telling her younger sister to go over there & talk to them as she feels a bit nervous to speak to them herself.

The little girl walks over there & gets their attention as she then asks for their autograph & they both sign it on each side of the photo & then Kyla adds it with a bit of her lipstick on Joshua's face & then the small interaction ends as they end up in the back.

Nervous as is, they await for their doctor as it seems like they're getting an early checkup, but then pulls up her shirt as check to see if she's good, but it looks like she might be far along as is, so from the guess he can think of is mostly 9 weeks. But that doesn't sound right, she just found out the other day that she's pregnant, which might sound crazy on paper really

"Do you think it feels weird to be 9 weeks along?," Kyla asks Joshua as they're back in the car & he's staring at the space before being woken back up to reality. "Babe, are you okay?" "Yeah yeah, I'm just thinking that's all" "I know it's really tough to let it sink in" "You're not lying" "Maybe this is a way of telling us that we can do this.......I hope"

Joshua starts looking at Kyla as he smiles a little bit, but it's not a full smile just yet as he puts his hands on her belly & she smiles wide, but then she asks him softly, "can we get something to eat, babe?" & he just easily nods his head as he then starts driving off immediately
