Authors Note: yeah this is another one from 10 yr old me.
Stamping, feet through the puddles, hard rain flooding the paddocks all around.
Muddy gumboots stamp along the countryside.
The moon peaks out from behind the dark clouds.
Lost.
The figure of a pointy building is finally seen.
The slow sad stomping feet of the children speed up.
The building is old and creaky, but at least there is shelter.
My hand feels around in the dark for a light switch.
"Found it!" I whisper to Grace, Zara and Bethany.
The light flickers through the room, and I recognise it as a library.
Old books stacked on shelves, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and-
"Ew! look at that creeeepy statue!" shreaks Grace.
"Cool!, I dare you to touch it!" laughs Bethany.
Zara walks slowly up to the weird statue in the corner of the room and pushes at its forehead.
For a second we just wait, but then.....
The statues EYES OPEN!!!
"AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"
We all scream!
We run to the back of the ancient library.
TRAPPED!!
The statue runs at us and starts eating Grace's head.
"It's a Zombie!" I scream.
Bethany and Zara start punching the zombie.
I was about to help, but I saw a old book that looked even older than any other book.
The cover was blue with shining words that were mostly a different language, except for the word "spell book".
I walked over to the spell book and found a spell that said it would "keep away spirits".
That might work I said to myself.
"Abracadabra"
"Abracadabr"
"Abracadab"
"Abracada"
"Abracad"
"Abraca"
"Abrac"
"Abra"
"Abr"
"Ab"
"A"
That's all I said.
The world spun around me.
"waaaah!"
"OUCH!"
My eyes open and the zombie is gone.
Wait, it's not gone it turned back into a statue.
I left the book on the floor and went to see if my friends were OK.
Grace was alive?
The spell worked?
We exit the library.
100 years later.
Jack Parr, Thomas Maltby, Michael Timmins, and Joe Waiklin were walking through a storm when they see a library to shelter under............
