Visions flickered through your mind. Shuddering like a slideshow. A group of people sitting around a low circular table. You didn't recognize anyone at this table. They all were wearing robes, the hoods blocking their faces. Candle's were placed in a circle in the center, surrounding a book. You knew this book, you also thought this book wasn't supposed to work. It wasn't supposed to work. Yet, it was.

Your eyes opened with a snap. Alpha was holding you close to him. Tears were streaming down his face. Terzo was yelling in Italian at someone. You raised your hand to wipe his tears away. He moved his face away for a moment in surprise at the contact.

"Oh you're okay!" He screeched out, holding you close to him. At hearing Alpha, Terzo was running towards you as fast as he could. Almost tripping over his own feet to get to you.

"Sorella, stai bene?"

"I'm fine, fratello. Just had a vision." He tilted his head at you.

"Usually those are painless. Usually when you are asleep. Why is this one different?" He was breathing heavily. His white eye was shining with anger, fear and confusion.

"Because they tried it again. Whatever it was that they did to me the first time. They decided to try again. I don't know how but I saw them, and I saw the book that they are using."

"This is good, sì? Now we know how to stop them." His tone sounded like lol he was trying to convince himself more than actually asking the question. You reached your arm out, grasping at your brother's upper arm.

"Terzo, I was raised to believe that...book wasn't supposed to work." Copia walked over to stand on the other side of you. He placed a gloved hand on your cheek, rubbing his thumb across your cheek. You tilted your head back to look at him.

"I thought it to be just a book, a book to make people believe that they were able to have an edge over us. During the first Witch Trials they made a book, basically a Witchhunter's guide to stopping us. Some copies that people held did nothing. This copy works." Pure panic was spreading through you. Terzo looked at you with anger and confusion.

"Cazzo empio. What is the name of this book? Y/n? What is the name of this book?" You heard Secondo asking from behind you.

"Malleus Maleficarum. The Witch Hammer. When I was getting formal training for the basics of my powers. The Clergy appointed me one of their Senior Witches. She's the one that taught me the history of witchcraft. In one of our lessons she made me read it. This man wrote about how witches are able to do what we can because we are conduits for demons. He was under the assumption that we give ourselves over to the Devil and demons and in return they give us power. It goes on to explain what we can and cannot do. This man listed off so much shit. I mean in all honesty I didn't believe a lick of it. Some of it I couldn't even understand, with the way that it was written. Until we got to a certain point and I realized how terrible this book was for us." You heard a gasp followed by a coughing fit, then the sound of that forsaken respirator.

"That cannot be." You heard Nihil whisper out.

"This is far worse than we ever thought. The Clergy needs to come in sooner than next week. You both have done enough work for them to be here. We need to discuss this." Sister Imperator spoke out.

"How is this worse than before?" Primo asked.

"These people are using medieval methods. That book was written in the fourteen hundreds. The man was trying to get a woman executed for witchcraft. When she wasn't, he made an entire book on what witches do to man. If I remember correctly there is an entire section dedicated to explaining how a trial works, how the witnesses should be, and even how to get a confession out of them. Detailed steps on what happens during different trials. If they are convicted from having an acute suspicion against someone, to having an eyewitness with having evidence against them. When I say get a confession out of them, I mean it explicitly states torture. Whoever is behind all of this is getting this bold, it's safe to assume another witch hunt might just be approaching." You heard one of Copia's panicked squeaks.
