What's up sexy? (Chapter 5)

Taylor p.o.v.

After me Shawn went our separate ways I went to meet up with Carter to ask what happened. I see him at the lunch room talking to somebody in his phone .

"Sorry Ms.Reyes we lost him," he says talking to the professor.

"Yeah he seemed harmless. He had brown hair, cute brown eyes, a smile that could light up a room, an ass tha-- okay I get it okay bye," Carter says with a light blush when he realizes what he told the professor.

"Hey man," I say once he is done talking. He looks over and sadly says, "hey Tay." I frown. Why the Hell is Carter Reynolds sad. He is rarely sad.

"Hey man is everything okay," I ask. He looks up at me and sighs. "Well there was this mutant," he begins. I nod, "yeah Nash told me. He said to stay with Shawn just incase," I tell him.

"Well when I think I might well.....," he trails off. "Well....what," I ask. "I might like him," he mumbles.

"Dude that's great. Why are you moping around for instead of being really happy," I ask him. "Well I haven't liked somebody like this before. Usually I just look at a guy or girl and think they look hot and date them. I never actually felt like this with anybody," he explains to me.

I shake my head and smile. Oh I remember that feeling. When I first saw Shawn I felt this strange feeling towards him. I thought I just wanted to be his friends but later on I realized that I liked him. When we were little we were good friends but around 4th grade I started to hang more with the kids who played sports and we started to drift apart.

Then in fifth grade Shawn came out of the closet and told our whole class he was gay and everybody took it okay and the teacher even said she had a sister that was gay. Me being the moron I am I asked what being gay means and Shawn told me it means he likes boys. I remember when he said that I felt super happy. It meant I had somewhat of a chance with Shawn. I then asked what it means if you like boys and girls and he said that means you were bi. Then I stood up and told the class I was bi.

I don't even remember how we got in to that topic or why he said it but what I do remember my first pick up line I used on Shawn that day during lunch.

I was running towards his table with his friends and I said "hurry shawn give me some upsexy." Shawn looks confused for a sec and asked "What's upsexy?" And I sat down next to him and said, "nothing much you?" Everybody at the table looked confused except my smart angel got it immediately and blushed like crazy. Then what happened after school was way better.

"Taylor...... Taylor," somebody says to me. I shake my head of the memory and turn towards the noise and see it is Carter. "Yeah sorry what were we talking about again," I ask shaking my head.

"I was telling you about the new mutant Matt," he tells me. I knew a Matt back at my old school. He was pretty cool and would always be secretly supportive of me and Shawn.

"Yeah, so what's the problem of liking him again," I ask since I zoned out. "Well...I kind of.....threwafireballtohishead," he tells me. "You did what." He said the last part pretty fast so I didn't understand him. He sighs," I threw a fire to his head, he luckily dodged it, but now he hates me."

I hiss, "yeah that could ruin a relationship." Carter groans and covers his face with his hands. "Why Espinosa, why?" I frown at him. "Did you just say Espinosa," I ask. He removes his hands and nod his head. "Yeah. The guy's name is Matthew Espinosa," he tells me.

My eyes go wide. Matt from my old school is a mutant too. "What's his mutation?" Carter looks at me and laughs a little. "His mutation is ice powers. He's like fucking Elsa. My powers and his are complete opposites," he says. I smile at him.
