Andromeda Velasquez was no longer a young woman. Rogue could see it in the wrinkles by her eyes and in the papery skin of her hands. It pained her to think about her surrogate mother aging. But Andromeda, or Andy as Rogue called her, was still youthful on the inside. This was apparent in the way she bustled about the office, smiling and bouncing on her toes. Rogue had her hands pressed firmly into the countertop, body tensed. She was on edge knowing Red would be there any minute to get his answer. Andy would be gone from the shop soon and Rogue was nervous about negotiating without her. There wasn't a reason for her to be nervous, however, as Andy had kindly reminded her that morning that "weak bitches don't become President." Or VP, for that matter. And Rogue was no weak bitch.

Andy passed behind her as she made her way to the back exit and smoothed a wayward curl. Rogue's hair always curled when she was stressed.
"Breathe, Elodie. You can handle this." She told Rogue calmly, using her real name.
As she was told, Rogue took a deep breath in, letting it out as she watched Red's black Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe pull up to the shop.

Showtime.
