106th year of being captain
Mccreas pov-

I woke up with a start from my insanely loud alarm. My personal robots came out and got me ready for the day...yay.

I got into the elevator and went up to the bridge. "Morning auto." Auto did not respond. He seemed really into something, he was clicking so many buttons and taking notes in this weird language and sending them to different people. I just ignored him and continued with the morning check.

After the morning announcements, I decided to try and talk to auto again. "Hey au-" Auto quickly turned off the screen and turned around. "Yes sir?"

"You know what.....nvm!" I quickly backed into the elevator and headed down. Auto can be very strange...actually I take that back, he is very strange. He is hiding something and I know it. Maybe I should just leave it alone. Yeah..

Autos POV-

That was a close call, I almost got caught. I turned on the screen and started writing again. That's when something clicked in my head. I called up go4.

Go4 appeared. "Yes sir?"  "You know what day it is today, can we have to distract him." In case Mccrea was listening, I was talking in robotling. "Yes sir, how should we do it?" We both thought for a few good moments. "How about this...."
It was not the best but it could work..

Captains POV- I heard auto and probably go4 talking in their little lingo...I want to hear what they we're talking about but I don't want to ruin their father and son moment. Let's see..what can I do up here...

6 minutes later

Wtf is that sound? Is that auto moving around? Holy cow, why couldn't b and l make auto quieter. Now I can just here buzzing...busy guy.

Third POV-auto spent hours doing ship stuff and preparing, he then he heard a beep behind him. He quickly turned around and saw go4 and a few stewards holding supplies. "How is this sir?" "Acceptable." Go4 let out a little groan. Auto beeped loud and go4 and the stewards quickly put the supplies in a little compartment and ran out.

"Auto? Was that you?" Auto turned around. "Negative." Mccrea rolled his eyes. Auto did a very quiet beep and started to to talk. "Sir, I think you get out of the bridge.. for....fresh air." Mccrea looked at auto with confusion and concern. "Auto, is something wrong? I never go out." "I am ok captin, I just think you should you know-" "yes yes, I know. I will be back in a hour ok?" "Affirmative." "Cya." "adieu."

Once the captain left, auto got started immediately. He beeped and the stewards and go4 popped up and they started the work. 30 minutes later they finished and a baking bot came up and saluted. Everything was going perfect when they heard the captain coming up. Auto quickly turned off the light and everyone quickly did the last finishing touches and ran out.

Mccrea finally reached the bridge. "Wha- auto!? Turn the lights on!" The lights came on.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

Mccrea jumped backwards. "Wha- what?" Auto went up and came down in front of the captain. He had a oversized party hat on him. "Happy birthday captiiiin." "I thought you won't know about my birthday!" Auto beeped in surprise. "Why wouldn't I know?" Mccrea shrugged.

Auto then held out a party hat. Mccrea smiled and put it on. "Thank you auto..thank you." "Glad that I could be of assistance." "You don't have to be so formal with me auto, oh and not to be rude but, where is the cake?"

Auto quickly turned around and beeped. The baking bot slowly crawled out of hiding shaking, holding the cake. Auto went up and down and spoke in robotling. The little bot saluted and placed the cake down on the levitating table. Auto beeped and the baking bot quickly left.

"Ooo this looks nice auto." "Appreciated." Auto turned around and picked up a box and handed it to Mccrea. "Oh come on auto, you shouldn't have." He said smirking. Auto beeped and backed up. Mccrea opened it up and saw a shining golden pin. "Wooow auto,..what's this?" "A gift." "Ok auto." He placed the box down and pinned the pin to his shirt. "Happy 78th birthday captin."
