Planet Problem

99th year of being captain

Third POV- The day was going smoothly like normal for auto and Mccrea. Mccrea was in his room tossing a small ball up and down in the air while staring in the empty void of space. Auto was probably doing ship stuff. Mccrea groaned. I never do anything for this stupid ship anymore. That's when he thought of something. He clicked a button on his chair. A whistle sounded. "Auto come down here." "Aye aye sir."

I few seconds later, a steering wheel came out of the ceiling. "I have been thinking..."Auto came closer. "I don't think you will agree...." "I really don't think you would approve....."

.....

"I really don-"

"CapTIN."

"Right sorry." "Ok, so I was thinking...maybe I should give you a break ya know?" Auto beeped in confusion. "I am confused sir." Mccrea sighed. "I am asking if I can take control of the ship, at least for today."

"W h a t"

"I knew it. You would never let me, a friend, the captain of the axiom drive THE ship...what a shame." Auto did a robot groan.
It was quiet for a few good minutes. Mccrea pretending to be sad and auto just looking annoyed as fuck. "Come up to the bridge please." Mccrea nodded and headed up to.

"Fine. Just for today." Auto said tiredly. "Wait really?" Auto beeped. Mccrea smiled big and hugged auto but immediately backed away. "Thank you thank you! This is going to be so fun!" Auto just stared. A few seconds later he flicked open his Console. Mccrea then clicked the, manual button. The red eye slowly disappeared. Mccrea closed the panel to his console and just stared at auto. Was this a bad idea? Oh well....let's go do some "auto" stuff.

Mccrea held auto and zoomed over to the control center. So many buttons...

Mccrea pressed one button and heard a scream in the distance. Oh uh-
Mccrea pressed the button again another scream was heard. Mccrea backed away from the button.

Beep Beep Beep! Beep Beep Beep! Mccrea turned around to see a hologram screen pop up. He hovered over to the hologram. Someone stole someone's chair?! I need to send the stewards. Mccrea pressed a button on his chair. "Auto come here."

Mccrea then realized that auto is powered off. Crap. Now what? Mccrea then started looking for the button that sends the stewards. Aha! Mccrea then pressed on a yellow circle. That should be good! Now then...

Mccrea hovered over to the course map. Looks like we are a little off course here. Mccrea grabbed the handle bars and started to turn them. That should be good- oh now what? Mccrea turned around and saw another hologram pop up. The criminal got away? Didn't I send like 50 stewards? They must be strong. Stupid stewards, couldn't even take a picture of the guy.

Mccrea turned around and hovered to the steward buttons. Maybe one button is one steward. Mccrea then pressed 15 buttons. That should be good. Mccrea could feel the ship now starting to tip. Mccrea rushed over to the wheel and started to turn. That was close. A hologram popped up and said that the criminal has been caught.

Finally.

There is not really anything to do now...I will just go to sleep! Mccrea hopped into the elevator and went down to his bed.

————————6 hours later—————————

Mccrea woke up with start. He looked at his window and saw that the whole ship was tipping. He quickly hovered over to the elevator, trying not to fall.

He managed to get to the bridge. He looked over to the course map and saw that they were very off course.

Mccrea then heard a loud alarm go off. The Axiom just did a full barrel roll. Mccrea looked out into the space and saw a huge planet coming up fast.

Oh my fucking god-

Mccrea hovered to auto. His rudders were going insane. Spinning rapidly. Mccrea grabbed on the handles and tried his hardest to stop them from spinning.

He looked back to see the planet about 2 minutes away. Mccrea was really panicking now.

He looked back at auto who's rudders were still spinning. He flicked on the AUTO button.

The red eye then appeared. "Capti-" auto watched as Mccrea let go of his chair and fell on the ceiling and back on floor.

"HURRY! PLANET PROB- OW! LEM!!!"

Auto looked outside, beeped and quickly started to turn the ship away. They were about to hit the planet but auto missed it by inches.

Auto then started to level out the ship. Mccrea fell right in front of auto. "Look I'm sorry! I just forgot you were turned off. It's been a while..heh-"  auto looked down at Mccrea and handed him his chair. Mccrea nodded and got back on.

"It's okay captin. Let's just not do this again." Mccrea nodded and smiled. "Now then...let's help OUR passengers."

"Aye aye sir."
