"Hello? Karai? look I know you don't want to talk to me, but listen. I need your help. April's in trouble. And if you don't help us, something bad is gonna happen. So please, meet me at the top of the scout building in two hours." I say to the voice mail. She never answers anymore. And that's a story for another time. (A/N I will be making a prequel book to this to explain why, but that'll be AFTER this book ✨👌) I sigh as April walks in. "Any luck?" I shake my head. "She just won't answer." She bites the inside of her check. "Why, she's like, your sister" she asks. I shudder, that's what Splinter said too. "I don't know" I say. "You're lying" she says. I look at the floor. "She doesn't want anything to do with me..." I say. Her face turns cold with pity. "Oh Leo I-I'm so sorry-" "it's fine April, really" I cut her off, I don't wanna talk about it anymore. She bites her lip, and my t-phone vibrates.
It's Karai. "Hello?" I say shakily, we haven't talked in forever. "Leo?! Let me talk to April" she says worriedly.

"Yeah" I say. "Are you okay?! what happened?!" she says. "I'm fine I'm fine. The Kraang are after me again. They have this, tank and they are going to torture me with my worse fears I guess..." I say. "A tank? what are you scared of?" I gulp. "Drowning.." I say. "Oh my god" she mumbles. "Look, I'll meet up with Leo. tell him that please..." "Okay, thank you Karai" I say, hanging up the phone.

I sit on the top of the scout building, waiting patiently for Karai. I her a light 'thump' and turn around to see her. "Leo" she says. I bite my lip, I don't know what to say! "Karai" I say smoothly. She sits next to me, her feet dangling off the edge of the building. "So, they want her dead" she says like it's no big deal. "Yeah pretty much" I say shrugging. Karai smiles. "I got an idea" she says, scooting closer to me. I feel comfortable around her, but, I know it isn't right. I scoot an inch away. "W-what?" I ask. "We, sneak in and distract them while Donnie and April hack into the system, everyone else can just help fight off as many Kraang droids as possible." It is pretty smart, but I don't know. The Kraang are too smart, they would see something like that coming. "Are sure that's a good idea? the Kraang are smarter then you think" I say. She rolls her eyes. "Trust me Leo" "I don't know if I can Karai" I say. She looks at me with a hurt expression. "Please, one last chance?" she asks. "You can help, but after that, you should go" I say. "What about Splinter? can I see him?" I bite my lip and clench my fists. "He died Karai" "w-what?" I take a deep breath. "That night, the fire. You left, I couldn't save him. You left and didn't care. Didn't care enough to save your own father" I say angrily. She looks down as a tear falls from her face. "Leo, I-I-" "just forget it. Are you going tot help us or not?!" I ask, cutting her off. She closes her mouth and nods. I stand up and jump back down to the alleyway.
