As promised (and to her surprise), Seth turned up at the gym the next day and the next, and the next... turning into some kind of routine. Andi still felt incredibly nervous around him (who wouldn't feel nervous around a gorgeous man like him?) but notably relaxed the more time they spent together, which made Seth incredibly happy.

At first their conversations had been strictly about wrestling and the programme, subjects she felt most comfortable with. Eventually they turned into more personal topics... Wrestling chats morphed into favourite movies, music and video games.

Seth liked bands like Parkway Drive whereas Andi preferred bands like HIM.

Andi liked retro games like Micro Machines and Road Rash whereas Seth preferred Madden and Call of Duty.

Seth loved action movies like Fight Club whereas Andi liked horror movies such as Toolbox Murders. However, they both agreed that the Harry Potter franchise was brilliant.

After a short amount of time the conversations turned to childhood. Andi learned that Seth lived with his mum and stepdad growing up and went to Davenport West High School. He was an introvert but had always wanted to be a wrestler.

Seth learned that Andi grew up with her parents and two older brothers, that although she had a loving family home, she was bullied relentlessly up to the age of 18 and had never fully recovered. She went to St Peters High School but had never really had a clear view on what she wanted for the future for herself. Seth also learned that Andi was married and had a daughter who was almost twelve years old.

Currently they were discussing Seth's favourite topic, American Football.

"I just don't get it!"

Andi exclaimed exasperatedly.

"Right, so the lines on the field, they mark the yardage. That's important because the team in possession need to take the ball forward at least ten yards when they're on offense..."

*Bring! Bring! *

Andi's alarm sounded loudly, indicating that their time was over. They got off the treadmills and started to clean up.

"It's pointless Seth, I'll never understand all of the rules".

Andi said.

"Ah but I am the master, I'll teach you young grasshopper".

That earned a giggle from her, which Seth felt proud of. As they were about to part, Seth grabbed her wrist to stop her.

"Hold on"
he said before looking down at her tee. Mankind stared back at him.

"What?"

Andi asked subconsciously.

"Oh, just wanted to check out which wrestler was on your tee today... Joe and Jon have a guessing game going about it"

He explained. The now-famous blush started, he started to laugh.

"Seth, It's not funny!"

She whined as he continued to chuckle.

"It's cute!"

He responded, earning him her blush spreading down her neck. Andi turned and started to walk away but heard him say,

"And call me Colby. Goodnight Andi"

"Goodnight... Colby"

She responded uncertainly. It felt strange not to call him Seth. She smiled though, the more she got to know him, the more she liked him as a person. As a friend.

Colby felt himself smiling as he walked back to his room, a bit more of a skip in his step. He liked that Andi's walls were coming down. He liked that they were becoming friends.
