Chapter Nineteen

Being friends whilst having romantic feelings was hard. They had both accepted that they had these feeling, that they wouldn't do anything about them because it was wrong and that they would remain in their friendship. However, as innocent as it was, cuddles were more often now... before workouts, after workouts, before going to bed... Holding hands or playing with each other's fingers at night while talking becomes the normal.

Sometimes they woke up in each other's arms and that normally be okay but there were times when their dreams would betray them... Andi had woken up a couple of times to find that mini-Colby would be awake and pressing firmly against her behind... Half asleep, she would wriggle back against him and then she would be wide awake from the moan that would escape an asleep Colby. She would realise what was happening and escape to the shower before he woke.

Colby would be between sleep and waking when he would feel a movement against his crotch... it would feel good so he would rock his hips forward for more and tighten his hold on the warmth before him. His hips would rock a few times until a moan would wake him, in his shock he would realise what was happening and escape to the showers before Andi would wake.

Today was weigh in day and Andi was in a much happier mood than a few weeks previous. The trainers were in full swing marking down losses before revealing the winning team, the first since the re-draft. There was an extremely loud victory yell, followed by loud cussing. Jon was jumping and punching the air in victory, rubbing it in the other's faces, while simultaneously telling anyone who looked his way that he was the champion.

Joe and Colby looked thoroughly put out and Andi thought that Colby's pout was adorable... that probably wasn't the look he was going for and he was very sulky for the rest of the day. Even when they got into bed that night, he was huffing and having tantrums about Jon winning and not letting anyone hear the end of it. He didn't appreciate the fact that Andi found it hilarious and laughed outright at him, so he took it upon himself to tickle her to the point of her nearly peeing herself before letting up and sulkily forgiving her.

The next days afterward went much better for them, enjoying each other's friendship and their time together. They came to terms with the attraction they felt and stopped beating themselves up for 'slips', not that either knew of the other's occasional 'happy mornings', as Andi now referred to it to herself. They put the extra cuddles and hand holding down to the closeness of their friendship and that they took comfort in that.

Colby had thought that his attraction to her would eventually ebb and that his head would come to the realisation that they were friends if he reminded himself that she was married enough. Little did he know that that may change if Andi stuck to her determination to have a serious chat with her husband when she got home for break. Emma's words were still fresh in her mind and she was hellbent on sticking to her guns for once instead of taking the easy route...
